This place is such a scam. The pictures shown on the experiences are not where you will be. My friends and I went for a bachelorette trip expecting a legit escape room only to show up to a small store front with two tiny rooms inside that they call "escape rooms". Cheesy inside and half the puzzles were already completed for us. The creepiest part is that you are watched on camera and a man talks occasionally over the camera to "check in on you". When we were finished completing our knock off escape room we exited through the door and the employee stated she "needed our picture for her boss to have or he would be so mad at her". This was uncomfortable and creepy, probably the same man that just watched us on camera the whole time but we never spoke with in person. We told the employee we were not letting her take our photo and she ran into the back room and we did not see her again because we left shortly after. Very strange place, do not recommend. Also paid $140 for 5 of us to do this escape room, only to find out the whole place is a scam....
Read moreWe were surprised to learn that there was an escape room experience on the island and took full advantage during our visit this past week. We did the JAWS experience (aptly named given that the movie was filmed from Martha's Vineyard) and found it an enjoyable experience for our party of 5. As three of us were young kids/tweens, we were delighted that it wasn't too hard, nor too easy. It was just right. We were challenged by the clues, laughed a lot at our failed attempts, and reveled in the fact that we did ultimately win (with a little help from our host--full disclosure here). Our kids were so happy that they earned a prize, too! The authentic ship setup was a little tight for all of us, but we navigated it OK. Definitely worth a visit--especially on those days when you want to do something unique and...
Read moreA fun, thoughtfully put-together escape room with a friendly and helpful host. This place offers two rooms, one themed on pirate treasure and one themed on Jaws. We did the pirate treasure room.
I've done a couple of escape rooms in the past; this one felt challenging and well put together, with a bunch of different kinds of puzzles to work different kinds of thinking. The host was very nice about offering hints whenever we got stuck, and we got some free goodies from the gift shop for finishing the puzzle in time. He then offered to take a photo of us in front of the pirate and emailed it to us afterwards.
Overall, fun for a couple of adults; I think it would be fun for kids as well, or for a...
