I normally do not leave reviews for stores or other companies. However, I had the worst possible customer service from the Menās Wearhouse in Edison. Last week was my wedding, and one of my groomsmen was away on business and tried to pick up his tuxedo rental the day before the wedding. I get a call from my groomsmen the day before my wedding and he tells me that the store does not have his tuxedo rental and that the female worker there was completely unprofessional and pretty much told him there was nothing she could do for him until the next delivery truck arrived. At this point, I call the store and politely ask the same female worker āLavetteā if she could look into why my groomsmenās tuxedo was not available 24 hours before my wedding when it is guaranteed by the company to be at the store 48 hours in advance. Lavette immediately raised her voice and told me āI can not help you at the moment, I have customers in my store and they are more important because they are here and not on the phoneā. When I tried telling her my wedding was the following day so this issue needed to be resolved ASAP, she continued to say that I was ānot being understandingā and needed to wait for her to call me back once she was done with the customers in the store. Needless to say, I was beyond angry at the lack of professionalism by Lavette and she is surely someone not fit to work in customer service. Although I know it will not do anything, I intend on contacting their corporate office to complain about the way Lavette handled my situation. As soon as you walk in, you get the feeling like you should turn around and walk out. We were not greeted although there were two young associates at the folding table. We went upstairs. We had to help ourselves because not one associate greeted us. My husband tried on the jacket which was fine except for minor alterations necessary. We need a larger size pant. When I asked the female associate about that she said āwhatever is there ā. I asked if another store can be called she said - ā you have to go downstairs for thatā. We walked out. There is no desire for anyone to help the client. This company has gone down. We are now headed to another store. I donāt recommend this store. I changed my rating to 4 āššššā because I went back on Monday. What a difference a day makes ! I went back to purchase the suit jacket because when I went to the Edison shop they didnāt have the jacket. Only the pants. Begrudgingly I went to the Union store. I was greeted and when I went upstairs I was greeted also. A completely different set of associates. I spoke with Nick and told him of my experience. Lovely associate. I personally 5 stars āļø to him. He told me to speak with one of the managers Ernst downstairs. Which I did. I spoke with Ernst and reiterated my story. He was so kind and made my trip worthwhile. I called to see if we could just walk in or if we had to set up an appointment first. Stacey picks up, I told her Iām on my way with my fiancĆ© to look at tux for my groomsmen but wanted to know if an appointment is required, she says yes her last appointment is at 5:30am when would I like to come in, me not understanding what exactly she meant I politely asked was she stating I could come in before 5:30pm or after her last appointment? She then says to me loudly and rudely āI said my last appointment is 5:30pm when would you like to come inā? So I said to her wait a minute, Iām a customer and I have been nice to you, I didnāt answer what you meant and wanted to get clarification but Iāll not accept this rude behavior, whatās your name, she then pretend she canāt hear me all of a sudden and says to me she canāt hear me and hangs up. I then called back and her manager apologized for her rude behavior but that was very unacceptable. You donāt talk to a customer like that then hang up on them.
