Update May 8, 2024 2:45pm: Today my wife and I decided to give this Silver Lake Ramen another shot after a year of absence due to our comments below. We’re happy to know that no one from the last terrible visit is there anymore, this young girl asked us to sit anywhere we wished, both girls were great, the food and everything else was great, we love this place again and will certainly come back, thanks for regaining control of your place, we’re very happy you did 😁
Over a year ago: We were introduced to this place and loved it, food was great, the atmosphere was good and the young people attending your clientele were nice, courteous and always had a smile, my wife and I were your promoters to friends and family until today. Today was different, we walked to a place with at least 4 tables where patrons had eaten, napkins, dishes and dirty dishes were still there, the atmosphere felt tense. Since you are always welcomed to seat anywhere, that didn’t happen today, so we sat at the furthest booth table, several others were available, the place was at about 60% capacity today Wednesday April 12 at 1:20pm approx. About 2 minutes after we sat down a rather serious tall young man approached us with 2 menus in hand and asked if we were expecting more people, we replied that we were not. He then instructed us (didn’t ask) to move from our table to this tiny table for two, there was no need since several tables were empty, rather in my opinion it would have been best to clean the other 5 tables and now you have 10 available tables. Nevertheless we sat us on the tiny table next to another couple where we couldn’t any private business conversation, in turn we got up and told the young man we had to leave, without a word pulled the menus from our table with a degree of disgust, did a 180 and left without a word. As we were leaving a kind young girl intercepted us concerned why we were leaving, I replied that it is a very very bad idea to move people around at your discretion because it suits you best. Unless you have someone seating your guests as they come in, then it’s so unethical to do what this man did, the attitude and the end result. Now it will be the last time we set foot on your place and we’ll make sure our friends and family know. Clearly something changed in your management team, your employees are reflexion of their boss, hope you make corrections in the near...
Read moreOrdered for pick up, I asked the young lady who was handling the to-go orders if everything was there and packed well and she just waved to me and gave me a thumbs up because she was on the phone and too busy to talk to me. I put the bag on my backseat and I noticed that a strong smell of broth took over my car immediately. So I asked my wife to pick up the bag because I was worried it might be leaking. Guess what, it was leaking. And leaked all over the seat, and my wife’s pants because she had nowhere else to put it but her lap. I got home and called the store to let them know what happened, they offered to replace the soup. That’s not the answer I was looking for. My seat needs to be cleaned, or it’s going to smell horrible once the sun bakes it in, so I told them that I don’t want a new soup, I want a seat that isn’t soaked in ramen juice, or my money back to pay for the cleaning and was told that the manager would call me back. A few minutes later the same young lady called and told me her manager Andrew would not be giving me a refund because he checked the cameras and there was no soup on the counter. I told her it’s a good thing I took pictures, and if they needed I could drive back over there with the pictures so he can stick his nose in my car and smell the seat. She then offered a full refund. I know this was a good outcome, but the fact that the manager went to check the cameras just screams a lack of respect for the customers. I just don’t get it when managers of food chains get all bent out of shape over issues like this. It happens. Just take care of the customers or they won’t come back. And they’ll tell everyone they know about their experiences. I understand that there are people out there scamming places, but this is a chain, they probably throw away more ramen then they sell everyday, and for what I paid, they better make sure the to-go containers are closed and...
Read moreI am leaving this review to express my disappointment and concern regarding the service experience my family and I had at the restaurant today, 12/22. I would like to bring to your attention some specific incidents that occurred during our visit.
Firstly, I would like to commend the exceptional service we received during our previous visit on Sunday, December 17th. The staff on duty that day provided us with an amazing experience, and we were thoroughly satisfied with the service.
However, today's visit was quite the opposite. We witnessed another customer patiently waiting to be served for an extended period of time. Despite their patience, the customer eventually left the establishment without being attended to. When they inquired about the delay, one of the servers responded with a nonchalant "okay."
Additionally, we experienced difficulties in obtaining basic services during our time at the restaurant. I had to get up twice to refill my glass of water and tea for my mother-in-law. This lack of attention from the staff was quite disappointing.
Furthermore, when I inquired about the manager on duty today, I was informed that only the owner was present, although not available for discussion. It is disheartening to observe that even with the owner present, there seemed to be a lack of awareness regarding the surrounding issues and the poor service being provided.
We also noticed that some of the servers were behaving unprofessionally. They were laughing amongst themselves, and one of them even rolled her eyes when a customer asked a simple question about...
