I just had 2 different massages last week from Athena and Rita. Both were great! After my long drive, Athena gave me a 90 minute therapeutic sports massage and found all of my trouble spots. She worked out all my knots and pain points and pain I had for years vanished and still 10 days later, no pain. I don't know how she did it but she expertly finds your problem areas and gets rid of the cramps/knots so your body can regain its natural balance and flow. Then a few days later, I had a smooth, flowing Swedish type massage from Rita. Oh, soooooo relaxing. I simply melted into the table and felt like I was floating on a cloud. Rita is amazing if you enjoy a light flowing dreamy massage. I'd definitely recommend first getting Athena to work out your problem areas after the drive and then definitely get Rita to give you a dreamy soft massage the day you leave for the drive home or the day before. I have been experiencing tremendous bilateral hip and leg pain from sciatica and bursitis for several days with periods of inability to even walk and stability was out of the question. Once the issues began to resolve somewhat after implementing a return to a collagen therapy regime, I sought out deep tissue massage therapists in our new home’s area. I chose Emerald Isle Massage. My therapist was Athena. She did an absolutely amazing session!!! She spent a great deal of time working on my lower back and problem areas all while I relaxed in a beautiful, calming environment. She used a Thai method, of which I had never been privy to before in my 7 year history of having massages, to help release the tension in my SI joints by manipulating my legs along with massage techniques. By the end of the session, I noticed a huge difference. 24 hours after the session, I was very comfortable and back to doing daily activities very easily.
