Our recent extended weekend trip to Esmeralda Isle was made even more memorable thanks to our delightful experience at The Village Market. This charming breakfast spot quickly became our family's favorite, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!

Each day we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. Their warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for the entire visit. It's clear that the team at The Village Market truly cares about their customers' experience, and it made us feel right at home.

Not only were the staff members incredibly friendly, but they were also extremely helpful. They patiently answered all our questions and offered excellent recommendations from their menu to local attractions.

Now, let's talk about our favorite dish, "The Village Bagel." We couldn't get enough of it! The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely divine. The fresh, toasted bagel paired perfectly with the delicious toppings and spreads. It was a delightful culinary experience that we'll be reminiscing about for a long time.

We also tried other items from their menu, and each dish didn’t let us down!

Overall, our experience at The Village Market was nothing short of fantastic. The friendly staff and warm atmosphere added an extra layer of joy to our visit. Whether you're a local or a visitor like us, I highly recommend stopping by this breakfast spot. We can't wait to return!

Thank you, The Village Market, for making our breakfasts extra special during our trip. Keep up the...

Good stuff first, the place was clean! Not so good stuff, the atmosphere is so not friendly. One sign that says Welcome, all other signs are don't do this, if you do this we are watching you and it just isn't inviting at all! The food was equally tasty to a fast food chain and nothing special at all. The menu is just as unfriendly as the restaurant. It states you can have only one refill on your coffee that you paid $1.99 For. And this is basic coffee with no flavored creamer! You stand in line to order. You go back to the counter to pick up your order and you get your own coffee, all while paying for a full service experience. Not planning to return. Will stick to Flipperz.

I am updating my review from a 2 star to a 5 star due to my second visit today. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing! If you don't like it the first time, please give it a second chance! I think you'll be...

Edited review: We came here because it was recommended by a friend. We only had breakfast there. The store itself is cute but the service and food were lacking. There were a few young girls working the counter and the girl who took my breakfast order did not look like she wanted to be there and looked annoyed whenever I asked her about certain menu items of which she said they had none of. If I asked her whether they had goat cheese instead of feta cheese for my eggs or regular milk for my coffee she had an attitude and would say no as if “how dare I ask her that”. Their coffee is a regular drip coffee and they don’t even have actual milk but instead the half-and-half in plastic containers. I would not recommend this place due to a limited menu that was bland for my taste and unfriendly service by the girls at...

EDIT UPDATE July 2023: I love the added outdoor seating and finally they've put a speaker outside for when your orders ready. They're dog friendly and there's a water bowl outside for your thirsty good girls and boys. When you go in, the menu is on the wall, order, they'll give you drink cups to grab drinks. There's a vending for plastic silverware right by the sodas. If the seating inside is crowded, go out the side door by the sodas machine and find a place to sit - they'll call your order over the loudspeaker! As locals we enjoy the Village Market year round. I finally had a chance to go in for lunch and had a wonderfully made sammich from their deli. TOTALLY beats those chain sandwich shops. EDIT: Village Market IS my favorite place for breakfast. The hashbrown casserole cannot be missed!!

Went into this sandwich shop while on the Isle. Never been in before, but surely glad I stopped in this past weekend. I order the Italian option, with some slight modifications. The presentation was so nifty in the best way. The meat was rolled up and laid in a row. The cheese was underneath in a single layer. The visual impact was wonderful for me. The meats and cheese are Boar Head products, so I knew that the sandwich was taste wonderful. The price was justified for the level of quality of products used. I also was able to do some shopping in the little store that was on the other side of the sandwich shop. I located a few hand painted cards to send back to family in CO! Overall, this is a great stop and stop. Highly recommend this location.

This place is absolutely delicious. Boyfriend got the yellowfin tuna sandwich just the way it comes, with the creamy slaw as a side. I got the portobello sandwich the way it comes minus the cheese, also with the slaw & pasta salad. Super delish. They have a decent single can beer selection. Not a huge selection, but they've got the basics plus some local NC brews to choose from. Fantastic food, made fresh & served up in a timely manner too. Service was friendly & quick. Dog friendly patio with turf & plenty of shade. Will definitely be coming back whenever we visit the Emerald Isle!!
