In town on vacation 1st trip to Emerald Isle someone got a craving for ice cream after dinner. Google search & the Sweet Spot's where we went. Overview said they closed @ 9pm & we had 20 minutes. Upon arriving we found out they closed @ 10pm. There were 4 of us & we had an order to take back some for 3 members of the family so us 4 decided to eat ours 1st.
We sat down @ the cute little throwback ice cream shop table & chairs. I enjoyed my bowl of peanut butter swirl we got 2 cupachino crunch & a cookie dough. The store has probably over 30 flavors. No complaints from anyone @ our table. Without asking 1 of the staff came to our table w/small Dixie cups of water. Nice touch & just what we all needed too. Then we placed our to go order.
The ice cream store also sells lots of touristy knick knacks, taffy & candy. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Close to quitting time we were talking to who I assumed was the owner while we waited for our to go order who was nice & friendly. Nice stop on Emerald Isle...
Read morego to Emerald Isle every summer and it is full of amazing people and places. This is the first time that I have been to the Sweet Spot and my friend recommended it so we all went together. The ice cream and those serving were great. However, after eating it, my friends and I decided to look at the bracelets because we had been wanting friendship bracelets all week and today is our last day. He emptied his pockets in front of her and she still refused to believe him and continued to accuse him and be extremely rude to all of us. She refused to apologize and stood her ground even as our friend proved he had nothing. We had planned on buying bracelets but instead walked out. Unfortunately, we will not be returning due to this rude, unreasonable, and...

Yes it does Hershey's ice cream (like AB Ice Cream Shop does) with endless combos of ice cream and toppings. This speaks for itself. Too much to choose from to not find something. Has cones. Sundaes and such are available.
Sweet Spot separates itself from other joints in close proximity (DQ, Ben and Jerry's, etc) with selection of flavors/toppings mentioned above. Other ways it differentiates itself:
1)Twins as a gift shop selling random souvenirs. Never paid attention to this but gifts and such are in the middle of it all. Interesting. 2)Truffles. Lots of em. Lots of flavors. 3)Some candy like Jelly Belly and other novelty ones. Taffy too. 4)My personal favorite, the rocking chairs out front. Love this.
Prices here are very comparable to the aforementioned places and the selection makes this a go-to for ice cream and...
