La Posh Boutique — Local services in Emerald Isle

We were on a desperate search for 3 bridesmaids dresses the afternoon before our Valentines beachfront wedding... This boutique has two locations and we peeked in the window of the Boardwalk location- the main store wasn't quite open yet, but after explaining our predicament to LuAnna, she made arangements to help us shop all of the darling dresses at the shop around the corner. Emotions were running high in our group as our time was short- yet she patiently helped us look for all of the options available in the right sizes and available in 3... it took several back and forth trips throughout the afternoon... and we finally selected 3 boho beachy dresses the following morning 40 minutes before the ceremony. La Posh was one stop shopping for this whirlwind shopping trip- we found all the perfect accessories to finish our look! In addition to our wardrobe concerns- she sent us to a place she knew of that could make our last minute bouquets- and even helped us contact a photographer. Looked for a place locally for permanent jewelry. Called and made an appointment as a surprise for my daughter for her birthday. When we arrived there was no one working who was trained to do it. Someone from another store was called in to help us. After picking out her chain from the examples, we were then shown what was actually in stock, which did not include what we picked. We also wanted to add a gem add on, however she wasn't trained on how to attach anything. Each chain is priced differently, rather than only being priced for the type (bracelet, anklet, necklace) as most places are, so we were left with the more expensive options. Staff were nice and apologetic for the inconvenience, and none of the above were their fault, but defiantly disappointed in...

When I walked in to La Posh, the owner and a friend were standing at the counter. When I passed the owner, she rudely asked me if I was a local. I stopped and told her no, but been coming to E.I. for 46 years. The two women looked at each other and rolled their eyes.

I realized what they were pulling and turned around and walked out. I had intended on buying the dress that was out on the sidewalk display. If the woman wasn’t an old witch, she probably would have sold me several pieces.

Seeing that I’m the 3rd person that noted the attitude of the owner, ladies don’t waste your time going to La Posh, unless you are local and look like...
