This is one of the best gift shops in Encinitas and along the coast. You will be able to find the most interesting gift, even for that person that is so hard to shop for. My favorite are Coast Hwy's Mexican themed items sold by the owner Beverly. They are unique and adorable. A person would have to travel deep into the little towns and villages of Mexico to finds equal treasures. The jewelry is diverse and of solid quality and character. The service is AAA+++++ and it is centrally located on Coast Hwy with adequate street parking. The store carries a treasure full of local cultural gifts, pretty clothing, bags, music, shells and t-shirts that not only represent the authentic California coast, but many local artisans who sell their best items commercially. There are beautiful themed home decorating gifts that are extraordinary and not something you will see anywhere else. The best part is that the staff is knowledgable, many who were raised in the area and have excellent recommendations for travelers hoping to find the hot spots in town. Encinitas is super special as you will see. You can walk to her shop from the beach or stop by after work.
Make sure you take trip to Coast Hwy Traders and be prepared to buy something. I'll bet you find something even before you walk in the door. Oh, also check out the window displays. They are never tired looking; rather fresh, interesting and full of...
Read moreMe and my parter walked into this store and were immediately followed by staff members closely consistently telling us that the small things need to be held up at the front. They would follow us everywhere we went making us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. As we were about to leave the woman standing by the door accused us of stealing and putting something up our sleeve even after we showed that we didn’t take anything the lady was still rude and no apology was given. We left feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. I had previously loved shopping at this store and bought a few things here but I will not be returning after this. It is clear that the store is afraid of shoplifting based off all the items being locked up in boxes and the bag check. But to stoop so low as to accuse someone of stealing (multiple times as I can see from reviews) I can not believe how bad the customer service here is...
Read moreToday, my three daughters went into the store, looking for a birthday present. A few minutes into shopping, they already noticed the employees watching them. They asked if they needed help multiple times, to which they declined. The three went into an aisle and looked around for a bit. They noticed one worker in the same area as them and she ended up going up to my youngest daughter. She asked my daughter to remove an item from her pocket, accusing her of taking something. The employee walked away without apologizing. My daughters were just shopping and ended up leaving. They felt very uncomfortable...
