I found the staff to be extremely deceitful with the marketing of their "designer" rack. The sales associate sold my girlfriend a counterfeit Louis Vuitton Bag, with the logo and everything, without informing her that they don't authenticate designer items and they won't accept refunds or store credit. There was a tag that said it was a very specific Louis Vuitton bag and they use fraudulent branding making it seem legitimate. However there was a tag hidden in the back where it says they don't authenticate their designer pieces and they won't inform you of that, just throw it in with what you're buying so you won't be able to see. I found out that the bag was a knock off the same day, my girlfriend politely explained and went to see if they could resolve anything, but was very rudely told to just sell it herself... a fraudulent Louis Vuitton bag... as if anyone would willing buy it hence why they had to be deceitful, then had the door shut in her face. If you want some old marked up band tees or the rare deal then this is the place for you, however, if you don't want to be deceived and treated with respect by sales associates (not all some where very nice and helpful), this is NOT the place for you. I live a couple blocks away and I'm never setting foot in their store again. Maybe fun for tourists who've saved up to look at something interesting, but they are not for the local community as they have no qualms about deceiving their customers. Their prices are also too high for the quality of the clothes and they can be very raggedy. Additionally, selling counterfeit items is a crime in the state of California, so Flashbacks Recycled Fashion should really look into that before they...
Read moreIâve been going to this store since I was 14, and every single time, Iâve never walked out fully satisfied. I began working in the vintage industry when I was 16 and finally realized how overpriced and grossly exploitative Flashbacks is. I went in now as an 18 year old and decided to sell my clothes at the Flashbacks in Carlsbad. Iâve sold my clothes before at the Encinitas Flashbacks and the experience has been much better than the Carlsbad location. Particularly today, I went in to sell my clothes (showed up 15 minutes early might I add), not a large amount, and waited 2 and a half hours for my buy to be finished, whilst already late for another appointment afterwards. I noticed the girl walk out and take her break halfway through, extending my wait even longer. They left my clothes unattended with no supervision. The store was practically empty when I showed up, so there was no reason for me to wait as...
Read moreI actually really enjoy the layout of the place and the selection of clothes they have here, but the place is wildly overpriced even compared to some other Flashback locations I've been to.
Some things I enjoy about this location: -They have a very curated trendy selection throughout the whole store -There are a few items that are fair prices for a vintage store
Some of the problems I've faced at this location: -Most of the items are overpriced, and sometimes the quality of the items they sell is very poor, especially for the shoes -Some of the items and probably most of the graphic t-shirts are whole sale
If you are into Vintage stores and like checking out trendy clothes, this place is pretty cool. If you are more into thrifting just go check out thrifty threads...
