Heaven truly exists in Englewood NJ, inside a fabulous boutique called Gito. Named for its owner, you walk into every woman’s dream. A shop filled with everything to form a wardrobe, no matter what size you are, including what occasion you may be attending. You will be treated like a queen by Gifo himself, who takes his time getting to know you, your tastes, and price point, from casual pjs and lounge wear to a glamorous black tie red carpet. It’s the only place I’ve shopped where the proprietor not only discreetly remembers what he’s sold you, but makes an effort to keep you from buying a garment that either doesn’t work with your wardrobe or a garment that isn’t flattering to your figure. Gito has the entire outfit in trends and those that are timeless . That’s something hard to do. He does it with his heart , there’s never a sales pitch. . From the time you say hello, you just know you are good to go from head to toe. Yes ladies , there’s more! Gito shoes. When there’s an outfit you need it’s an entire outfit you’ll get. From dresses, gowns to slacks and blouses, shoes boots sneakers are kept in mind. Gito will fit you with the right shoe or boot, find you a handbag, even a scarf or shawl . If there’s some piece you just thought you’d never find, just ask, and the magic continues, while he hunts down the item that wasn’t already on any hanger in the store. I was a bit afraid to share my secret happy place for fear someone might get the last item I saw on Instagram I wanted, ; them it hit me, this is Giro, where everything is possible. Walk into the store, walk out feeling like a queen. Purchase on line, as in the shop, another secret I almost forgot. Need alterations to get that garment looking custom made? No worries. Gito will do the alterations and there’s never a fee. And that’s for the life of the garment. Even fit your shoes I know, it’s impossible, but it’s not. You’re at Gito. It just makes you feel better. I cannot speak for their physical store but DO NOT SHOP FROM THEM ONLINE. I purchased a Margiela bag through Farfetch and they sent me a bag with a scuffed corner which in the end they kept denying. The corner was scuffed by their Farfetch tag when it arrived. Lousy quality control and response time. Long story short, I had to go through Farfetch's customer service team which took a while for them to get back to me. I was notified by Farfetch's customer service team saying that the boutique demanded me to send back the bag immediately, when I was already on vacation abroad. May I ask, how am I able to send the bag back when I am traveling overseas for a month just because you finally demanded it? SAVE YOUR MONEY, FOLKS. GO INTO THE CITY AND SHOP AT THE MARGIELA...

We walked in looking for an outfit for a dinner this evening. We felt like we were being watched from the moment we went in the store, and felt like we were unwelcome because we are Black. The woman who was staring at us and following us around was apparently family of the owner for the store, and it got to a point where we had to have a conversation with an employee explaining the situation and how it made us feel. She was even double checking the racks after we left them.

We really wanted to have a great experience, and we were hopeful to have found something for tonight, but after today’s encounter we are very dissatisfied. We were excited to support a local business, but I highly doubt we will return. And it’s Black History...
