I have had mixed experiences in the past with the shopping experience side of this business as far as finding the tools for the project I needed, but overall there is usually a great selection. Regardless of if it's shopping or pawning an item for pick up later, I have always had a courteous and knowledgeable staff member working with my transactions. My husband and I will pop in once in awhile just to check if there are things we may find useful when he's doing repairs around the house or just to see if there are any unique finds because there's generally good quality items. My experience hasn't exactly been the same as my husband's unfortunately when it comes to customer service. I realize this is a small community but it helps to keep our personal differences aside from our work day as much as possible to avoid conflicts. I very much appreciate that the issue has been cleared up since that interaction earlier this year which was about choices that were made to communicate in a less than satisfactory manner and hopefully we learn to adjust to the moment at hand in the future without hard feelings. I have been in the hospitality business in the past and even in personal interactions it's inevitable that you will find those moments but in the end it's what we do to hopefully walk away from the situation feeling like we have done something to make it better...

AWESOME SALES GUY
I totally don't remember our sales guy's name but I wish I did. Younger, kinda cute, tattoos maybe? I can't remember... Not only did he get us a good price on jewelry (necklace for me) and a watch for husband (who forgot to pack one, and heaven forbid his wrist be naked a couple of days!), but Mr. Friendly Sales Rep also answered our touristy questions.
As passerbys just driving through town, we had seen this place the night before after checking in to our hotel but they were already closed. After a night at the casino we decided to drop in before finding breakfast and moving on our way. He suggested eating on the pier in Trinidad, about half an hour away. That was the best advice we received on the trip!
The store itself is large and seems pretty well-organized. A good variety of items! It was really fun to walk around, even though we didn't stay very long. Pawn shops are pretty fun. But I leave all haggling to my husband - he's much better...
Read moreDon't bother, they might have some pretty cool stuff there but it's all extremely overpriced. It was a couple years ago but I overheard one of the employees talking to his coworker and they were talking about something an older couple had brought in to sell. They were whispering and quietly and laughing about how much she asking to get for it. They knew what they had and it's value but we're only offered a fraction of what it was worth, but one of them really wanted it because she knew how much she could sell it for. I almost high fived the couple for walking out of there. I also liked the look on the lady's face that tried to pull that disgusting move. Just look at the pictures on their site $800 laptops come on. This is happening at thrift stores and pawn shops all over. Why are any of us supporting this? Now I just buy new since buying used only gets you a few bucks off. Good...
