So… I have an iPad Air 4th generation. And I was experiencing charging issues. I cleaned it, and still no go. I’m not ready to fork over another limb for a new one so I went to my local IT repair shop to see what could be done. The first place, which I won’t name automatically told me I’d have to have it mailed out due to it needing to be soldered and they don’t do that in house. Now I’ve been coming there for a while and they’ve taken care of me plenty of times so I asked where was it being mailed to. Gentlemen said ‘Federal Way’. I said I’d drive. He looked at me incredulously but I said I’d drive. He gave me their guys’ contact info and I left.
I was pissed, ngl but I started troubleshooting thoughts as I drove out of there. I immediately remembered uBreakiFix, formerly Asurion. I headed over there with some angst but some hope as well. Parked, headed inside an even though the shop was empty, I heard noises from the back and was soon told they’d be there shortly. I said no problem and in a few seconds , what would unknowingly be my savior, a man came forward. Gent’s name is Ryan. I told him my problem and he said they’d should be able to fix it but that they would also have to send it out. Now why did I go ahead and accept it this time versus my first interaction? I don’t know but my gut reluctantly said do it. Now he explained there would be a diagnosis fee of roughly $99 and the total cost would be about $180 but the diagnosis fee would be subtracted if the issue was as it was and I’d just pay the difference. Also about 5-7 business day turn around.
I wanted my tool fixed an so I bit the bullet. This was on a Friday. On Monday I received a call as I was headed to the gym and let it go to voicemail. I decided to check it an it was my man Ryan saying he good news. I called him and he said it was fixed. I was perplexed. He said while getting it ready for shipment he decided to give it a once over and due diligently cleaned it. He attempted to charge it and it held. He let it go to full charge and played around a bit and decided he to call me.
I was ecstatic and said I needed to take care of business but I’d be I shortly to get it. After the gym I shot over there and the shop was packed but it was a minimal wait. He explained everything he did and I was very impressed and appreciative. He also said that they’d let me come back in a couple of weeks if any issues arose and that my diagnosis fee would still stand if I needed it to be sent out still.
Ryan was very professional but down to earth and respectful. I appreciate his skill and more importantly his gut slash intuition on checking my device before it was sent out and was found out by someone else far out of my hands. Thank you Ryan and thank you uBreakiFix.

Read moreAfter following my claim with asurion it. Was less than 5 minutes and I had a representative Chris. Contact my phone by text message offering to set up a time for the repair and welcoming me to contact the store which I was unable to do until the following day upon reaching contact. I was able to get a prompt support to coming in and did so my repair was done. It is 417 and I made it here. By 1137, maybe noon approximate and it was done relatively quickly. It was very decent and very professionally done. Well, my phone has no cracks, a plastic on the screen as if it was brand new, it's very nice and everything works. I am very happy thank you, cricket additional? For bringing an unlimited screen repairs when the sense of utility and live comes with more accidental probability and the point of not being a pirate. As all of society, trying to profit by reinforce claims but of sense of real accident happens and broken screens and more times than you like. And not everybody can afford a case. And so. In the difference of consideration of bringing a new innovation of insurance and support.Thank you for thinking about the common person. And the actual cost difference in bringing the supported preserve around the two claim limitations more times then not in a twenty four month contract supported OF SERVICES, I WAS ONCE TOLD TO PREVENT FALSE CLAIMS PEOPLE ABUSING THE INSURANCE AND TO GET PRACTICAL COST ASSERTION TO THE POINT OF BUSINESS THAT IT CAN MAINTAIN STAYING IN BUSINESS!! BUT IT STILL DIDN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. AS I SOMETIMES WENT THROUGH 2 PHONES PREPAID THROUGH WALMART, AND IT GIVES A MONTH LIVING ON A SUBSIDY GOVERNMENT INCOME. THAT REALLY MADE IT HARD, SO REALLY? THANK YOU, CRICKET FOR BRINGING SOMETHING DIVISIONALLY. DIFFERENT FREE ON THE MIDDLE SCREEN REPLACEMENTS IS HEAVENLY COMPARED TO WHAT I'VE SPENT IN COST REPLACING...
Read moreThis was an incredibly frustrating experience that could and should easily been handled. I filed my claim online, first arrived at the Smokey Point store, which did not have the screen I needed for replacement, but a store 25 minutes south did. I reinitiated my claim to the Everett location and drove to the store. Upon arrival I told them I needed my phone screen repaired and had confirmation of my Google Preferred claim. The employee helping me said they had not received the claim and instructed me to call a number they provided me with. I called this number which was asking for my Verizon PIN, I could not proceed on the call with out it. After trying multiple PINs my husband uses to have no success, I had to call husband at work and ask him to reset/set up our Verizon PIN. After he completed this I was able to get further through the phone tree to be told by the agent I didn't have Verizon insurance on my phone. Yeah-I know, I have Google insurance I say. The number I had been instructed to call was for Verizon insurance only. At this point I was more than frustrated, fuming and had driven 2 hours for nothing. Exasperated, I went back into the store to say this number is for Verizon insurance, I have Google Preferred Care. A different employee is at the front desk who then says, oh that's different we just need to check you in for that. Um, what??? I literally just wasted over an hour being directed incorrectly. In the end phone screen was fixed and they did bump me in line in front of dinner of the other people who had come in after I was turned away, but the initial service or lack there of is what this review...
