This place has really good food and most of the staff and the owner are courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, they have a couple of bad apples that make me hesitant to continue eating here. I came in on a day when something went wrong with their equipment that had people waiting for over half an hour for their food. The owner got right in front of it and went around handing out cards for free sandwiches to help make up for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, as I was waiting, I had to watch the manager (I assume she is the manager) take out her frustration on her employees. When my food finally came, I had to rush out to get back to work. Unfortunately, they had made my sandwich incorrectly and left out something I'd paid for. I tried three times to call and finally reached the manager the next day. She said she was busy and she would call me back. That never happened.
I finally just went into the store and made my request in person. The guy behind the counter seemed annoyed and after trying to charge me the wrong amount three times threw his hands up in the air and demanded that "someone else come and deal with this guy". Now I was mad so I demanded a refund from the manager who had not called me back which she gave me with no apology or eye contact. I saw the owner and asked to talk to him. To his credit, he apologized and comped my whole lunch. My concern is though that this guy and the unprofessional manager will still be there any time I want to eat there and I don't want my food spit in. At the very least, it will now be uncomfortable to eat there. It's a shame because, as I said, the food is great and the owner seems like a decent guy. He should be concerned about how his people are...
Read moreLast week I had ordered two sandwhiches on GrubHub from this location and I always love their sub sandwiches. They're not like Subway where its a cold sandwhich. They steam the bun and have all the options you want, in addition of the famous side pickle. I always eat the pickle first.
Delivery via Grubhub was slow, albiet I was busy in the office at the time.
Food: Delicious as always. Ambiance: Standard corporate type decor with big lighted space. Service: Could be improved.
The reason for the missing star was not for the food itself, nor GrubHub but rather the incorrect packing of the order where I got someone elses order completely.
I contacted GH and notified them of the error, they stated they would call this location. 3 minutes later I was directed by GH that they are unable to send another driver due to the store closing down in 15 minutes. (It was approximate 10:15pm at the time) GH representative stated that if I was able to make it there in time before they close, they would have my order ready for pickup.
"Why did I pay extra to have a messed up order and now have to rush to go pickup my order?"
I drove pretty frantically to get there and was able to make it 5 minutes before they closed. Luckily we had called prior and was able to let them know we were coming.
Upon arriving, the Manager was super apologetic and noted that the new "super green" employee that was creating the orders put my GH ticket on a bag of someone elses order. Can't fault him. It was his 2nd day on the job.
Overall not a super great experience, but I did get a free sub out of it. Minus...
Read moreI frequently visit the Everett location for Firehouse Subs. Years ago I first experienced this chain in Florida. I remembered it so well and how good the actual sandwiches were comparative to Subway or Quiznos when I realize this franchise came to Everett, Washington.
I order the same sandwich every time and my sandwich never fails to taste good and maybe that's because it's a popular item but when somebody else like my significant other orders their fav sandwich they don't always have all the ingredients. He didn't want to order anything else and we left. I know not having a sauce can be silly, but if you have that expectation then why can't have what they come to spend their money on.
I work in a retail business and certain things stand out to me as far as hygiene, lack of ordering products and quality of customer service.
Men and women who have long hair should be wearing a hairnet, no touching of the face of course, and be visibly washing of hands prior to making each sandwich. I want to be able to order exactly what I expect every time I come in.
There is no reason to turn off the closed sign a half hour before actual closing time. Customer service is very basic and if a customer is ordering to go their interaction is very unlimited and still just as important as eating in the establishment.
I will keep coming to this location but if a continuing of disappointments occur I will take my...
