Iâve been going to this nail salon since I moved to Fall River back in January. Iâve always loved the quality of my nails and how they come out, however I am disappointed with the way I was treated at my last visit. I came in and was told it would be about 10 minutes. I was patient and waited longer than that because it was busy. I went in with intentions to just get a gel acrylic fill. When I sat down, I already had old gel acrylics from my last visit on my hands, and was planning on just getting a fill but the technician OUN talked me into getting a new full set. She did not mention a Full Set is more than a fill. I also came in with a picture of the nails I wanted, and the technician did not tell me it would cost extra for the french tip design. They charged me $20 extra for nail removal to put on a new set, itâs not included in the price for the new gel full set which is $50 then charged me $10 extra just for french nails, and $25 for eyebrows. Who the heck charges $25 for eyebrows? Youâd think my eyebrows would look amazing for that price but it was a simple wax nothing special. While I was having my brows waxed, she must of asked me 5 times if I wanted any other waxing, it was quite insulting like Iâm some hairy freak. No lady, I donât want any other waxing today just my brows please... must have said it 5 times, stop pushing and asking me just because you want more money. I honestly feel like thatâs what they do here. They push you to spend more so they rack up more money for themselves. I literally left crying because I felt like I got ripped off, and when I addressed my concerns with the manager he was very confrontational and acted like he didnât care, and that it was my fault that that I didnât know the prices even though no one explained to me the pricing before my services were done and they donât have any physical menu in their salon for their customers. They are way over priced and unprofessional and rude. The reason they donât post their pricing on their wall like other salons is because people would walk in and then right back out. It sucks because I really loved this place but my experience here made me not want to ever come back. Who leaves the nail salon crying? Youâre supposed to...
Read moreI went in wanting to get a full on splurge day happy vibes a cool tech and literally every service possible when getting a pedi. I want the parafin, I want the hot rocks, I want the whatever mud or gel or leg mask soak sure sign me up. I literally do these splurges once or twice a year and I look forward to them. Today was surge day before work pedi time. I go in and am asked as usual what type of polish regular or gel I just pick regular ( in my head we are just generally stating if Iâll use a straight polish or a gel one nothing more or less) I go ahead over to pick my color and itâs gel guess we are doing a gel polish the tech just jumps in and does a full pedicure. No signs are around showing what services are offered and no brochure or book was shown to me to give me options my tech did her work and we didnât chat I honestly felt kind of like I annoyed her and was and unwelcome I walked up to the front to pay and asked if they no longer offered the parafin treatment or the leg mask or the hot stones the response I got pissed me all the way off âoh yeah we still offer those, I just thought you wanted a regular gel pedicure. Next time ask for that and you can get itâ so I paid and left I was put off and my entire experience made me feel judged and not cared to be had as a customer I wasted 90 bucks to feel bad about myself and now I need a new pedi spot where theyâll care to put into their clients and ensure they have a great experience worth paying for. I paid because she did the basic job it came out fine no complaints this is truly about the way they made me feel like they just thought because I said plain polish I couldnât afford to get the services so they just wouldnât bother idk not my vibe I wouldnât suggest it if you want to be pampered if you want to go search their site and pick services ahead because no signs in store itâs probably...
Read more*If you are a a black person, donât go here and go somewhere where you will be treated with dignity and respect *
Very disappointing that in todayâs day this behavior and treatment is still going on but before they would even work on my nails and toes, I was asked to âcash out nowâ and âpay now, pay beforeâ. As I sat to get my pedicure and dip manicure, I watched EVERY person cash out AFTER their services were complete. All those people looked different from me (white women). I am a young black woman. I shouldnât have stayed after they asked that of me, but I have a 5 month old at home and itâs hard leaving him. I already had a sitter arranged. They should be ashamed of themselves. I am going to take my hard earned money, that I use to ALWAYS pay for services I receive, somewhere else and never go back here to be exposed to this racism.
I slightly edited this review in response to the businessâs response (I didnât see an option to reply). In my opinion, they did not own up to the racism I experienced. I donât know for sure but I donât think every person who cashed out while I was there got nail art. Like I told the girl, I wasnât interested in excuses, I simply just donât want the black community to have to deal with this or support a business like this, which is the reason for my review. To my community, we can do better and support a business that isnât going to treat us like thieves because the color of our skin. Letâs do better, we donât deserve to be treated this way.
Oh and donât call me hunny Venus Nails. Another sign of disrespect. In your other responses you address each reviewer by their name. Why is it different in this case?
After 2 days, this is what my nails look like. Definitely not worth your time or money. Got my nails done Wednesday and by Friday (yesterday) this is how...
