Purchased a leather couch from this store and bought the Pet Protection Plan, which the salesperson highlighted the section that included pet bodily fluids. She states should anything happen to the couch if it cannot be repaired than it will be replaced. Fast forward to almost a year later and my cat coughs up a hairball on the sofa, I call it in for service. Two (2) technicians state the cushion cover needs to be replaced because the hairball removed dye from the leather. I find out the claim is denied because the damage is a stain involving pet bodily fluid. La-Z-Boy won't stand by the policy they sold me because it is serviced by another company!
Be careful about purchasing any pet protection plan or other extended warranty, because you probably will be screwed over!
Responding to La-Z-Boy owner’s response: Serveco sent out a second technician as I stated above. This technician repeated exactly what the 1st technician stated - the cushion needs to be replaced. I understand you are 2 separate companies, but the sales person (store manager at the time) sold be a policy that states coverage of per bodily fluids. She highly recommended the coverage. I assume a company should be aware of the products they are encouraging people to buy including a protection plans. I paid LA-Z-Boy for the protection plan. I did not pay ServeCo.
Serveco denied the coverage of the pet bodily fluids damage stating it was a manufacturer defect because dye was removed from the material happened as a result of the hairball.
So basically, neither company will stand behind what they sale.
The end result was La-Z-Boy happily SOLD me a new replacement cushion cover for $454.65 so I could replace my sofa cushion.
I spent $9350.36 for my furniture and protection plans. Seems to be simply sending out a new cushion for $454.65 and stating we apologize ServeCo not did not cover what is clearly stated and highlighted by our store manger would have been a great chance to show outstanding customer service. But instead each company finger pointed at the other company (as everyone can see in...
Read moreThe worst shopping experience ever. The sales lady has absolutely no personality at all. She couldn't muster a smile or a kind word the entire time we were there. She was annoyed at our questions. She didn't "sell" us anything but regretfully we did make a large purchase. She didn't say anything at all about chair options, she left it to me to come up with the questions about them. ("Oh, did you want that?") We have an issue with our current chairs, but of course, "that never happens with any of our chairs." Yet I walked to two random chairs and, yep, same thing happens with their chairs. The two sales ladies obviously don't like each other. You should have seen the body language and eye rolls as they interacted. The verbal interaction clearly showed annoyance with each other (right in front of me!). Both sales ladies ganged up on me when I declined their fabric warranty. My husband overheard their "sales pitch" and came over just in case he needed to intervene. They did get a bit loud in their combined effort to tell me I was making a bad decision. I tried making small talk while she was putting in the order, but I got the impression I was talking to myself. I mentioned that we are only a few miles from their warehouse, so she thought I meant I didn't want them delivered. I guess she doesn't get small talk and coincidences. I would never recommend this location. I live the product, which is why we bought something, but if you have a choice shop elsewhere! I was deprived of a fun shopping experience, and that...
Read moreAVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! Decided to go with LaZBoy over Nebraska because the sale team won me over with talks of "white glove service" paid $150 for delivery (which would've been free at NFM) We wait the 2 months and still no call on when our couches would be ready. We call to follow up - the couches had been ready for delivery for an unknown amount of time. We hadn't received a call because the sales guy no longer worked there. Annoying but excited to get couches. Scheduled for Friday 2:30-5:30 delivery window. 4:30 we get a call, the truck broke down and would be running a little late. We called at 5:30 for an update and were unable to get a confirmed time. 6:30, We called back and explained how we had plans that night and we needed to figure out when to expect them. However we were met with an employee who didn't seem to care about our concerns.7:30 after continuous run around we spoke to the manager who was rude and told us we needed to sympathize. We requested to be delivered the following day. No accommodations were granted, no one was apologetic, we were wrote off as being rude. Our couches were delivered eventually at 8:30 pm. We paid for just a great service and the customer service at this particular location failed. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION! DO NOT...
