I told Ali, the owner or one of the owners, of Emeryâs Creative Jewelers that I would post a positive review 6 months ago, but then âlife happenedâ.đ My parents are now both deceased, but gave me this Rolex for my 60th birthday. It means a lot to me. Ali sent it to New York and had it totally refurbished for me. Recently, in FL, it broke down on me again, but not to worry. Just after New Years, my daughter took it back to MI for another repair. Coincidentally, I just came home yesterday for 4 days for 2 funerals and Ali already had it fixed again for me at NO charge. She also fixed my back up watch (which I had gotten wet 3 times during the summer, when I wasnât supposed to), but this time in FL (with a note on my tub), I kept it dry & Ali believed my daughter and me. Ali also fixed this watch totally free & put in yet another new battery. She also renewed my warranty on both watches. This business is amazing!!!đŻâ đđ Also, Aliâs stepmom did a phenomenal job piercing my 6 year-old granddaughterâs ears. First her grandpa owned this business and then her dad, but sadly both are deceased at very young ages. The reason I trusted this business with my Rolex is because once I went in there years ago, and her dad fixed a jewelry item for me at no charge. Also, Aliâs âpeople-skillsâ, along with her entire staff, are amazing. When my daughter walked in and asked for Ali, she said you must be Pattiâs daughter, because your voice sounds just...
Read moreI recently visited Emeryâs for a repair on my jewelry. I had broken the tongue piece for the clasp off of my bracelet which I was told was a really easy fix and would cost me $45 by the ownerâs brother in law. I was told that it would take a week maximum but it ended up taking 2 weeks for such an easy fix. All that needed to be done was to have the piece that broke off put back on with a laser and I already had the piece it wasnât like they had to make me a new one. When it was finally done I went to pick it up and to my surprise it was $68. Thatâs $23 more than the amount I was quoted. When I questioned the women who was ringing me up why it was more the owner rudely started screaming from the back room asking what the problem was. He came out from the back and then came out from behind the counter yelling and screaming in my face saying I was lucky he didnât charge me more and that he really wanted to charge me $70. He claimed it took the jeweler 6 extra hours to laser my piece back on my bracelet, which is completely unheard of. The owner was extremely rude and I did not appreciate him getting in my face and yelling. I wouldâve been a regular customer if I was treated with respect. I do not recommend Emeryâs to anyone and I will never be back. They donât even have the equipment in store to repair your jewelry they take it to another jeweler to fix. Terrible customer service and the store is really dirty...
Read moreHaving lived in the Detroit area for many years before moving to the west coast, Emery's was always my go-to store for both costume and fine jewelry. Although we lived in Los Angeles at the time we got married, my husband & I wouldn't consider buying our wedding bands from anywhere else. Gracious and accommodating as always, Terri made sure the process was painless- despite the long distance transaction. Emery's inventory of costume jewelry is extensive and always up to date. Every year when I return to the Detroit area, I stock up on gifts as well as a special piece or two for myself. They are always up to date on new trends and there is always a new designer to discover.
The entire staff is warm and accommodating. There is never any pressure and everyone that walks through their doors is treated like family.
My only complaint is that they did not open a location here in Los Angeles.
However, it gives me a reason to return to Michigan every year. Walking into Emery's will always feel like...
