Well of course we went to Kohl's on the fly and I was not prepared. I don't know why but I find myself going to stores about thirty minutes to an hour before closing. Most of the time i don't even buy anything. Not because I just wanted to torment people either . It ends up being that their response to my late arrival is not positive or pleasant. I'm not blaming the establishment fully because I understand how stressed a person can get especially when they just want to get home. But I like to buy things(usually for my kids) and kohls had a ridiculous sale going on and hard to pass up. I'm not asking for special treatment because I believe in equality, inclusion, acceptance, respect, kindness so everyone should be treated like they are your favorite person in the world And you would never disrespect them in the slightest. Or treat people like you want to be treated especially when you are spending your hard earned money. Companies are forgetting about the customers. Do we really deserve the disrespect we get because someone is unable to empathize with others. I don't know about you but I have had a hard last couple of years and it's still occurring. I like to shop when I feel like it's getting to hard and no matter what I do it is only getting worse. Kohl's was a place I could reliy on. I am counting on the few who can make up for the lapse in customer service. Because those individuals still exist. Like my cashier, I feel bad for forgetting hey name. Read moreI went into this Business to shop at 7pm today... it WASNT busy by any means and to be honest I didn't see anyone other than one woman with a child, all other customers were single individuals.i went into their one men's restroom to use it appropriately to discover both stalls were being used, so I walked out and was planning to wait for one to become available. As I walked out I noticed a family bathroom, I knocked and then proceeded to use the restroom.... no one was around. After approx 5 minutes some one knocked on the door, I kindly let them know the bathroom was in use. Shortly after another knock but this time from the manager telling me that the family restroom is for family use only. Through the door I replied that I would be out soon and that the other stalls were being used.... she repeated in a monotone voice of disapproval that. Families were out here waiting on me and its for family use only. I quickly finished up since I began to feel embarrassed.... and as I walk out, I dint see any families at all waiting but instead 5 female staff members standing around staring at the who was to come from this bayhroom.. Now fully embarrassed i started to walk towards the exit to see 3 security officers waiting for me as well.... TOTALLY RIDICULOUS AND UNAPPROPIATE. Read moreI like the merchandise at Kohls but my shopping experience at Kohl's was extremely uncomfortable. I can sum up my shopping experience in three words "retail racial profiling". I am minority but that doesn't mean I will shoplift. I passed 5 sales associate none of them ever said hello or welcomed me into the store. At one point I passed by three associates in a group talking amongst themselves but were too preoccupied with their conversation to help a customer. I had to go to check out counter to ask a question. In addition, one sales associate kept watching me but never approached me which made feel like he thought I was going to steel something. What really made me angry was when I overheard an associate talking about me while I was trying to checking out. I heard her describing to the other person in her headset what I was wearing and what I looked liked. She then quickly told the person on the other line, "she's here", to end the conversation because I was literally 5 feet away. This just another example of racial profiling.
