I placed an order online in the morning to be delivered 4 hours later for lunch. The delivery was going to my work which is located at a popular business park and less than a mile from the Federal Way cafe. When the delivery time arrived I received a text message from "Jessica" stating that my order had been delivered. I went and checked with our office concierge who confirmed no delivery had been made. Keep in mind, I had already been charged. I immediately called Panera customer service to report this. "Maria" was the first customer service person I spoke to. After explaining the issue, she let me know she was placing me on hold to contact the Federal Way cafe. But instead she hung up on me. She did not bother to call me back. The second person I spoke to was "John". I explained the issue a second time and told him I wanted a refund for my order. He proceeds to tell me, "they don't do refunds but he could issue me some reward card for the same amount to use toward my next order". I was very frustrated and began to tell John that they were going to refund me when he abruptly hung up on me. He also did not attempt to call me back. So now I am making my third call and I get Ashley. She answers my call and says, "First and last name?" To which I reply, "Get me your supervisor now please." She says, " I need your first and last name". "No! Get your supevisor now!!!" I sat on hold for 10 minutes and spoke to a supervisor named "Jeff". I explained everything to Jeff for a third time. I advised him to refund my order immediately .He said he would and sent an email confirming this refund at my request. I asked him why they couldn't have just done this 3 hours ago? He had no answer. I asked if they were having phone issues and if not then why did neither of the first 2 representatives I spoke to call me back? He had no answer. Panera may not be a completely gross customer service experience at every cafe but the Federal Way cafe has definitely won that award. I will never order there again. Throughout the entire ordeal, absolutely NOTHING was done to even ATTEMPT to save me as a customer. They have practically begged me to post this disrespectful review. The review is only the beginning. I will also be writing their corporate office. We both ordered tomato soup with a grilled cheese. the tomato soup was very tasteless Campbell's tomato soup in a can had more flavor. I don't know what they did but it was the most tasteless tomato soup I've ever had. The grilled cheese was okay not great it could have been a little more toasty on the outside, I ordered coffee and they handed me a cup and pointed to where all their coffee was they're dark roast was completely empty and I as told them that it was empty and they said yeah they know they didn't bother refilling. And I got the last little that was in the light roast which was absolutely the worst coffee ever. Why do they sell coffee when they know their pots are empty and then when you tell them they don't even bother getting them filled up. Read moreStopped in to sample the famous Panera goods. We sampled from the sandwich menu the side dish / salad soup fruit menus as well as a sampling of three or four of beverages. We ordered a steak and Swiss sandwich, a turkey tomato onion lettuce cheese bacon sandwich both were small and sparse, how disappointing! The tease were about what you'd expect want a regular black iced tea the other a purple and herbal tea, nothing to write home about. They were doing a pretty brisk business for dinner time which is when we stopped in about 6:00 p.m. on a Wednesday night.
