I’m a disabled Veteran, who STRUGGLES with mood changes and I was in a great one—-until… I walked into the store and grabbed what I needed, but little did I know, I needed a cart. I see a gentleman pulling two carts and I quickly ask him (I didn’t see any other carts in my area and I didn’t want to drag the merchandise), so I ask him for one; he responds with, “I need these carts, but there’s some outside; I apologize though.” I smiled and said that’s cool (I’m not going to beg anyone for anything). I struggle halfway across the other side of the store and FINALLY a different gentleman gives me a cart—very nice young man!
The rude gentleman worked on the opposite side of the Lumber department; because I walked in that side. I called the manager, Andrew and he said he’d take care of it.
Where did hospitality and customer service run off to? Anyways, I probably won’t go back to the Longmont location—because I can put myself in a bad mood on my own.
Veterans don’t need or want your “thank you for your support,” we want respect and that’s it! We definitely appreciate your support, but I could’ve used that cart.
Thank God everyone’s not that rude; I appreciate the discount and Andrew’s time!
Stay blessed!!!
This review will follow the online survey that was with the receipt!
Just like corporations today to hire strangers with no respect or compassion; they’re main concern is just body counts, but that’s their prerogative though!
Be careful at this location; I can’t tell you I’ll be coming back—because I’m...
Read moreI've given the store so many chances, but their new rental center has set me off of Home Depot. I could get over the fact that they have less normal home items than the store in Longmont or Thornton, and that I frequently have to go there to get what I need. I could get over the mostly unhelpful and lazy staff, but when they cancel a paid for rental reservation and just shrug their shoulders and say here's a $50 gift card as if that's going to make the entire crew standing around waiting for my rental happy then it's time to find a better place in the community for my business. I could list the various insults throughout the years from this place to my family but most people will write this entire review off as somebody that had one bad experience and isn't trying to warn the community of an incredibly poorly run place with managers that are more interested in their cell phone than their customers. The manager couldn't be bothered to give my token $50 gift card, and I was handed off to four different people of which none of them knew what they were supposed to do or how to do it. I wasted an hour here and in that hour I was able to reserve the tool I needed at another local rental shop for cheaper. The sad part is most of the employees understand that the place is poorly run but continue to work there and the community continues to shop here and Home Depot...
Read moreThe general manager of Home depot in Firestone didn't think things through about how to allow customers access to his store. Charles needed some compost for his garden. I went to Home Depot on hwy 119 in Firestone and parked in a handicapped spot close to the garden center. That door is closed and is now an exit only. I had to walk to the center door and back to the garden center. I asked a female employee for someone to help me get ONE BAG of compost to my car because I couldn't lift it or walk very far. She pointed to another employee in the extreme southwest corner of the garden center and said he would help. After getting to him he was standing talking with another male employee, didn't sound like a business related conversation. I asked him if he could help me getting ONE BAG of compost to my car because I couldn't lift it or walk anymore. He told me to get a basket and he will put it in the basket for me and someone at the checkout counter will put it in my car. The baskets are back at the center of the store where I came in. The checkout counters are at the east side of the store. I told him I would buy it somewhere else. I realize that the profit on one bag of compost is "NOTHING" so the store didn't lose anything on that sale. But the amount of loss customers because of me sharing my VERY negative experience today I hope will...
