1 star is too deserving. My husband and I was on our way back home from vacation and saw this liquor store across the street from the gas starion. We thought, how convenient, we can stop here instead of making another trip near home in Columbus,Ohio. We had got married this year and was unable to have a reception or honeymoon... anyway we made our way into this store and there was one customer at the counter and a woman behind the counter (3 customers total in the store) the lady left the counter and went to the back. As she comes back, she brings this man up and he takes a seat on the stool next to us. Watching my husband and I the entire time. I guess she felt more comfortable with him there with two African American travelers... smh. I asked for the bottle and handed her my bank card. Without running it, she said it declined. That’s odd seeing as I had just used it across the street and I had the travel alert on my card so that it would not decline as fraud as most banks do. She said oh you’re traveling from where. I said Gatlinburg. I then told my husband to give me our credit card and magically it works. I went ahead and made my purchase and didn’t say anything as to not cause a bad interaction due to what’s happening in the world now but it’s definitely an eye opener. Went to the car and looked at my phone and I had no fraud alert notification from my bank. When I made it home a couple hours later, I checked my account again and still no fraud alert. I’m with a top bank and I’ve never had issues when putting the travel alert on my accounts. I’ve never in my life felt racially profiled so close to home than I did when I walked into this store. Just writing this for other African American travelers. Be careful...

This is a one kind family ran business that has been in place for over 60 years. It has been handed down through generations and they have a great style of customer service. As well as an a far superior commitment to their customers. But by far the best part about this store are the the family that runs it they genuinely care and they are so very kind nice to all their people no matter what walk of lifestyle that lead. They're more than happy to make sure that they take good care of whatever needs you have ... if they don't have it, they'll get it for you!!! Really, I truly believe that that it's one of the very best stores that have ever been in. They're also all inclusive inclusive and never racist in any way ... I went in to buy some beer as soon as I walked in I saw 3 people at the counter hanging out. And I greeted myself and said hello. I got no response and carried on. I understand that some people don’t like to interact cool whatever. I get to the counter with 36 Coronas. And I ask the clerk if it’s okay if I pay 40 cash and the rest on credit (I had friends pich in on the beer run). Main clerks response was “I guess I don’t have a choice”. So then I responded don’t worry about it I can pay everything on my card. This business does not respect paying customers. Will never...
