This review is not for Staples Folsom, however for the TSA Idemia Precheck station inside the Staples Folsom location.
I WAS TREATED IN A NEGATIVE RACIST MANNER.
On 8/13/24, I arrived at the Staples Idemia in Folsom, CA. I had an appointment at 3:10 pm and arrived early at 3 pm.
When I arrived, there was NO ONE at the station.
There was a man sitting by the computer chairs section of staples, adjacent to the TSA precheck station.
After waiting patiently for a couple minutes, I approached the man and said "Hello," and in a condescending tone, he replied back, "Oh, do you have an appointment today?"
He was not appropriately dressed or had any uniform or ID identifying him he's from TSA precheck Idemia.
I said "Yes I do." I noticed he was scanning down his clipboard, and I said "I think that's my name on the 3rd line."
HE REPLIES: " WHAT COUNTRY ARE YOU FROM? CAN YOU READ OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH?"
I did not reply to his rude offensive question, but I gave him my full name and informed him I had my passport.
Throughout the encounter, he was cold, condescending, and had his back turned to me the whole time. I even asked a question, "So will the TSA precheck work now after this?"
He replies, "No because how are we supposed to know if you are a bad guy?"
"Here's your passport back, read the frequently asked questions paper," he replies to me.
After he was done and gave me back my passport, there was a Caucasian male behind me in line. The TSA employee's tone of voice, behavior and demeanor was very different towards him. He immediately greeted the boy, and said "Hello are you here for TSA precheck?"
FYI I am of Southeast Asian/Pacific Islander descent, this TSA employee is Caucasian. I do not want to make any speculations, accusations, or assumptions, I believe he was RACIST towards me.
I will never go back to the Staples Folsom Idemia TSA precheck for future services.
I BELIEVE HIS NAME WAS MATT.
But I cannot be sure of his name because he did not have an ID nor uniform to identify he was from TSA Idemia precheck. Even the staples employees had standard Ids and uniforms except for Matt. I feel like this employee did not show appropriate behavior to...
Read moreI was looking for a clock battery, and brought the clock with me because there was no battery size identified. I asked a salesman for assistance and we found two sizes that looked like they would work. Repeatedly I asked if he could open the pkg that looked like the best fit. He refused saying that they could not open the pkg. and I would have to buy it then see if it fit. If it didn't fit, I could return it. I asked for a manager and this salesman walks away. He just walked away. A young man entered from a side door and was working on a display. He asked if he could help, and I explained how the salesman refused to open the battery pack. This man said he was a manager, apologized, and asked how he could help. As I am explaining to the mgr, the salesman starts hot footing it for the back of the store. The mgr opened the pkg, we got the correct battery, installed it, set the time, and I did some shopping. When it came time to check out, purchasing my batteries and a few other items, the mgr was at the checkstand. We checked the time on my clock to his watch and it worked perfectly. This man is named JEFFREY and he is so nice and understands customer service. Due the Jeffrey I will return...
Read moreThis is the only place on this side of Folsom to print at. (It may be the only place in all of Folsom - I’m not sure).
Check out the clearance wall in the far back left corner!
(My only negative is the lady employee who sits in her car which is parked right in front of the store and she smokes and all her “butts” are dropped out of her window. You can see the pile that accumulates. It is kind of gross personally that she parks right in front of Stapes and you know she’s an employee. She should park further away in my opinion) I’d also think employees shouldn’t park right in front of the business - leave those spots...
