I placed a pick up order, and I had called because I had placed the order hours before 5:00pm and the website guaranteed that if the order was placed prior to that, that it would be ready same day. When the time was 6:15/6:30 I called just to see if by any chance the order would be ready or if it would be ready until the next day, I was only trying to gauge the time so that if it was close to being ready I could arrive before closing time. I spoke to “Nelly” on the phone, and wow. All I can say is her passive aggressive attitude was the worst. Mind you, I was being nice and calm and only inquiring on the order, I was definitely not rushing or being rude. I also had asked, if by any chance the order was not started yet, if I could just shop for the items myself in store and just have them process the pick up order. She immediately cut me off and said “they’re already starting the order, that’s why I put you on hold to find out if they had the order ready or not” wow, okay, relax. No need for the attitude. Im assuming Nelly was also the same person at the cashiers because she was SO RUDE. If she wasn’t, then that’s a shame because then that’s TWO rude employers. This cashier was a middle aged woman with brown hair and glasses. When my order was ready for pick up, i showed up and I went up to the cashier (no one in line) and I said, hello, I have a pick up order. She said the pick up orders are right there towards the exit, (okay I didn’t know) and told me to just look for my name, in a very rude tone. (Again, ok? I didn’t know) most stores the cashiers are the ones who are supposed to give you the items so I was being polite by going to say that I had a pick up order.
So I look for my name and as I’m looking, I guess I had a larger sized order and therefore there was a button to request assistance and they’d bring it up. I pressed the button and again the same cashier yelling from the cashier area, “just open the cabinet and your stuff is in there” that’s when I finally broke and I let her know “I didn’t know that, I wasn’t informed, so relax” I grabbed my stuff and I was so upset at the rude customer service. I hardly ever come to Michaels, but if I ever need craft stuff I rather go to hobby lobby, or Joanns I have never had an issue there. Only ONE young lady who wasn’t Nelly asked me if I was ok and if I needed assistance, otherwise everyone else is just bitter and rude there. Do yourself a favor and take your business to another location or just...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in this store. I placed an online order and used my $5 voucher. Well, turns out I ordered the wrong size items. So I went back in and grabbed the write product. As I was waiting to first pick up my order there was a long line and the cashier didn’t acknowledge. When I was standing in line to do the return/repurchase there was a lady at self-serve who was so frustrated she ended up walking out. During the return the manager, Paulina, said I wouldn’t get my $5 since it was about to expire, NOT EVEN EXPIRED. I’d understand if it was expired. And I asked if she could honor it and she said no. I work in retail and am extremely disappointed in this. I want my $5 voucher. Working in retail I understand it can be rough, but I also understand the importance of taking care of...
Read moreMy trip to Michael's today was the highlight of the day. I didn't have high hopes as to what I would find. But my usual craft store in my area closed so I tried. Wow am I glad! The prices are great. This is by far the best price I have found on fabric in a while and the selection was actually very nice. I was shocked to find so much yarn, and the exact yarn brand and color I was actually looking for. When I found my items, the super nice workers helped me to learn the self checkout system without making me feel like a useless old lady. I will be doing all of my craft shopping in this store from now on. Honestly I cannot remember having what I would call a fun shopping experience in a few years. This store is absolutely wonderful...
