I wanted to share the exceptional experience I had today with a 17 year old employee named Jason. After leaving the gym at Shady Trails, I went to Hawaiian Ono to pick up a combo platter to go. After placing my order, I reached from my wallet and realized it was not in my pocket. I immediately remembered that I left it on top of the treadmill at the gym and exclaimed to myself, âoh no, my walletâ. Jason, who had just taken my order, reached for his left rear pocket while simultaneously saying, âthatâs ok, Iâll pay for your food.â When I told Jason that I really needed to get my wallet, he again said, âthatâs OK, I will pay for your foodâ. I told Jason I did not have time to explain and immediately ran out of the restaurant and hurried back to the gym where fortunately my wallet was still where I forgot it on top of the treadmill. I returned to the restaurant where Jason had my food order bagged and ready for me to pick up. I told Jason I was immensely impressed with his kind gesture of offering to pay for my food. I told him I would be giving them a great review at which point I found out that he is not only a very kind young man but also very modest. And she has no customer service, no manners, and plain rude. I was respectful and kind, yet they seemed to careless not show any sign of concern. She also walked in after her break, holding her phone to her ear blasting the audio of what mustâve been a video while proceeding to walk through the restaurant to the back kitchen. No concern about seeming profesional. She also, was briefly on her phone while behind the register. As someone whoâs worked in the same industry, itâs a lack of care and professionalism.
