Spring Lake Apartments — Local services in Forest Park

I have been living at this apartment complex for one year and nine months. Most of my stay I have dealt with Letoshia Weaver. She has always been helpful and pleasant with whatever situation I bring to her. I asked her about doing a community yard sale and she sent out a notice to see if other residents would be interested (unfortunately none were.) She always remembers who I am and prior conversations that we had. As a manager, I would say she is a very professional person and genuine as well, a quality you don't see often enough anymore. Overall my interactions with her are so pleasant that I wanted to write a review to boast about her! Great job Letoshia! Thank you for everything you have done for me during my residence at Spring Lake Apartments.

As far as the apartment is as a whole: I loved living here. The community is nice and quiet. There are kids around, nice family community. We had a couple of issues that arose, like with any residence. That being said, any time we placed a work order about the issue(s), it was addressed very promptly. Some times they would even come the same day! I was always impressed with how professional every member of the staff was. There is one gentleman that is always riding around the complex on a golf cart, picking up little bits of trash or other little errands, EVERY SINGLE TIME I passed him he made sure to acknowledge me, smile, and wave. Honestly, it is little things like that that make a difference. He even offered to carry my garbage bag to the dumpster once!

The grounds around the apartment are always very well maintained. When the bees and yellow jackets come out, they started spraying around the apartments to keep them at bay.

All in all, a fantastic experience. The only reason we decided to move was because my significant other got a job in Alpharetta and the drive was becoming unbearable. Also, I am going back to school in the fall and our new place is walking distance...

Spring Lake is pretty good...

Pests- I've been here for about 4 years and have only had pest problems less than 5 times. There's pest control, but I try to be proactive- bleach in the drains and boric acid. I rarely have to request pest control for the apartment.

Maintenance- Maintenance has gotten better the past year or so. I've had some issues (roof fell in from upstairs neighbor's negligence), air and heat not working from time to time, outlets not working once, but the problems were fixed in adequate time.

Noise- The walls are kind of thin... you can sometimes hear neighbors muffled conversations. Most noise comes from inconsiderate people blasting obscene music and having conversations not fit for kid's ears in the breezeways or outside.

Safety- There have been some break-ins, but that was about 2 years ago, maybe (knock on wood). We were notified by letters left on the door.

Pool- Pool was closed a lot last year, but generally it's okay. Again, biggest problem is with people being loud and obnoxious, using foul language. I don't really want my kids having to listen to others dropping mf, and n bombs all over of the place.

Staff- The staff has changed a bit, but I've never found anyone to be rude or inconsiderate. They seem to actually care about tenants being comfortable. The manager (or I think she's still the manager) Tasha was really good about making sure tenants felt safe and she was also good about "taking out the rubbish." There's a woman that works in maintenance (Lala??), that is usually good with getting things done. There are some gentlemen, but they've come and gone and I don't really know their names.

All in all, if there's a problem, they will get on it and fix it at their earliest convenience.

The apartment seem nice however we were lied too by Tracy and we don’t appreciate it. We applied almost 2 weeks ago. We were told it takes 3 days to get accepted or not. 3 days pass and we start to call but Tracy tells us she can’t get in contact with my husband job. My husband was able to quickly get her the info she needed. Another almost week pass and she swear that all of our previous apartments will not work with her. We end up applying to another place because we can’t afford to wait to long (due to being in an hotel, which we told Tracy about). The other apartments have no problem getting our info from previous landlords. We even talked to one previous apartment and was told they sent Spring Lake our info and even talked to someone named Tracy 🤔 So right when we hung up we called Tracy. We didn’t tell her we had talked to the previous apartment, to see what she was gone say and again she goes on and on about how she haven’t gotten anything or talked to anyone (lies the other place knew her whole name) and it’ll probably be until Friday before she get back in contact with us due to her not working the next day. Well how about the next day Spring Lake emailed us a denial letter trying to blame it on multiple things including not getting info from previous apts. But yet not even 24 hours before, Tracy supposedly hadn’t even handed her manager our info because she was still waiting on apts that she claimed never reached out but they somehow know her whole name 🤦🏾‍♀️ It’s honestly laughable how she straight lied to our faces not knowing we already knew what was going on. I thank God, we won’t be moving here. I couldn’t deal with her or anyone else that thought this...
