I have had the protection plan on my washer and dryer since 2015 and while it hasn't cost me any money for repairs the service provided is absolutely horrible. When my washer broke it took 6 trips to my house before they finally decided to replace it. Then the day they were supposed to show up with the new one (another day missed from work) they didn't even show up! Now my dryer is broken the tech was here on Tuesday. After he left the dryer didn't even make it through one load before it stopped heating so they returned today 2 days later for the exact same thing to happen after he left. He told me to give him a call if it stopped working which I did and left a message on his voicemail with no response. So I called the Geek Squad hotline and they tried to call the tech and I was told he wouldn't answer the phone for them either and the best they could do is schedule me for next Tuesday but if he calls back maybe they could get him back here sooner. What service company is just ok with their techs just not answering or returning calls? This is absolutely unacceptable service. I am a service technician in another field and I would never treat my customers this way. The wife and I are buying all new kitchen appliances this weekend and I can say with 100% certainty they will not be purchased...
Read moreJust got off the phone with them and was duly informed then it's going to cost me almost $200 for them to turn my TV on and visually see the screen damage. "Just a diagnostic". I could see if they had to hook stuff up to it and do some major work with it, but to charge $200 to start with for a problem that I just told them was there, and all I needed was a quote on how much it would be to repair that problem, is ridiculous and I refused to take my business there. You can buy a brand new TV for that cost. That makes me think they're really not interested in doing any work, they're just interested in putting money in their pocket. Don't waste...
