On our last Disney cruise, pre-COVID, characters were in abundance, and evening meals were accompanied by live shows - yes, in the restaurant.
This time, March 2024, characters were only available for 15 minute scheduled sessions that you line up for, and the mealtime experience is simply boring, both aesthetically and gastronomically.
The layout of the ship is bizarre, and there are more "adults only" areas and events than can possibly make sense on what is a predominantly kids-first brand.
Characters should be in abundance on a Disney cruise, and the food needs to be elevated back to 2018 standards before I'll consider paying at least 50% premium for DCL over (very good!)...
