The family and I decided to take a water taxi ride from the Hollywood Pier, we arrived an hour in advance and the children were really looking forward to this trip, I booked tickets in advance and paid. Therefore, we were the first in line to board. When they began to check our barcodes (tickets), I had them on a dark background and Mark's ticket scanner could not scan them because of the bright sun. I think this is a website service error. He had a second option to take advantage of the digital value of orders, to which he told us to wait, and let everyone skip the queue for us, and not solve this problem. After Mark made sure that everything was paid for, he continued to yell at me anyway and not let me on the ship, blaming me for the fact that his scanner did not work. We ended up in the worst seats on board under the sun, due to being the last to go after an hour of waiting even though the kids were looking forward to it. It turned out an unpleasant conflict situation with Mark. The whole thing did not end there, the captain approached me, not understanding the situation, began to convince me that I was wrong, instead of apologizing for Mark and making amends for the unacceptable rude behavior of the staff and the malfunctioning system. When leaving the ship, at the end of the trip, Mark defiantly showed us disrespect. The quality of the customer service was terrible, I hope the management of this company will respond to...
Read moreWe had an absolutely horrible day on the water taxis. We were dropped off at stop 4 from Hollywood and were told a boat would be by within 15 minutes. We waited an hour before a boat came. Then we made our way to stop 8. When we were ready to leave the park, we checked the live boat tracker and made sure we were at the dock on time. We watched that boat drive right past us. Then a second boat passed us by without stopping. Then the third boat that passed without stopping shouted to us that another boat would be by in 10 minutes. They were very wrong, we waited another hour. We were so exhausted and frustrated and bug bitten, we decided we couldn’t rely on the taxis at all. So we canceled our dinner reservations on Las Olas and decided just to go home. Finally the fourth boat stopped and picked us up, thank god. Then at the very next stop, stop 7, they made us all get out and get on a different boat. All of this made us late to catching the Hollywood boat back so by the time we got back to stop 4 again it was an hour and 45 mins away. So we waited again. Our group of 7 adults and two babies have been planning this day for weeks and paid a lot of money. There were not nearly enough boats running. It ended up being the worst day of our vacation....

I bought the all-day ride ticket, should have called the all-day WAIT ticket. My plan was to get on at 10 AM and ride it all day and hit every stop and get off and explore, hop back on hit the next stop. My first stop (#5 by the beach) I waited from 9:30 am (a little early I know) until 10:40 am and then a boat issue caused us to skip the next stops and head downtown… That was fine since I planned on going there eventually, but that smaller boat did make all the stops DT.
I waited with a swarm of others another 1.5 hours for boat back to the 15th Street Fisheries stop (Fantastic location BTW). I then hopped to the Hollywood stop where I waited another hour four the boat going to Margaritaville. Also, the mobile app stinks!!! None of the times listed are accurate… when it tells you the boat will arrive in 15 minutes, it’s never correct.
Overall, I loved the scenery and house/boat watching but I’d suggest never getting off the boat. Makes for a long day waiting...
