Rude staff. Specially Joanne. Went to the store and was trying out candies so to chose which one to take. I saw other customers also tasting the candies. The store has policy where you can't taste candies before buying which i respect but they should have clear instructions written in every corner of the store so customer walking in are aware. I saw other customers also tasting the candies before buying so I did the same before I was harassed by the staff Joanne to pay for the 4 candies I had tasted which I did end up paying after argument with the staffs present there. Joanne was immensely rude to me and I could feel it to be a racist behavior as she did not pick on other white skin customers as she picked up on me. Before hiring any staff, the store should have proper training of staff on how to deal with customers and treat customers equally. Secondly they should have clear instructions written everywhere that "you can't taste candies before buying". My first instinct was to taste it as the candies were loosely kept in containers and seeing other customers also tasting it before choosing what to buy. I would request the store to publish the cctv footage when I was at the store to show if they were being equal to all customers. Deeply saddened and harassed by the rude and racist...

First I had to go to the counter to let the staff know they were out of baskets (to shop with) near the door. The employee argued with me that some were by the door (there wasn't any). Then I see him taking an armload to put by the door. Next, I spent almost $30 for a variety of goodies for our family to enjoy while visiting the Stockyards. However we were super dissapointed that ALMOST ALL OF THE CANDY WAS OLD!! The tootsie roll pops were so old they were discolored. The Andes mint chocolates were discolored and melted. See pictures. It was extremely stuffy and hot in the store and most of the chocolate candy that I bought was melted. About the only candy that I bought that was okay to eat was the Smarties. Guess it hard for those to go bad. Will not ever go back again. Waste of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have visited this store for years every time we visit the Fort Worth area. Kids love the variety of candy, the huge barrels and the ambiance. However, this last visit was disappointing because of the employees. All three stayed behind the counter and I literally walked up to the counter to interrupt their personal conversation to ask about caramels which were out of stock according to them. One man working there was SO LOUD and flamboyant letting everyone hear about him leaving somewhere at 530pm and about the shirt he was going to wear and his fashion tips. He talked non stop for about 30 minutes straight! The whole time we were in there. If he would have used his flamboyant energy to walk the store and socialize with customers like the employees normally do it would have been great! He was just being so rude and annoying in was unnerving and...
