On 9/15/25 between 3 and 7:00, I brought my long-time house guest into one of our favorite shops. As we were shopping, I noticed a girl on her phone near by, she brought my attention because I was on my mobility chair, and she got in my way at one point. I told my guest that perhaps we should come back when we leave so we didn't have to lug our purchase around. We then heard the girl say they were open until 9. I asked if they were still offering a discount at other stores with their receipt. She gave me a strange look like she didn't know what I was talking about and said no. I then explained what they used to do, and she said they were sold to a corporation, so things are different.
When we left, I asked my friend if she had noticed the girl working their next to us. She said ya! I said I thought she was a customer, but now, knowing she worked there, what was she doing? Was she thinking we were going to shoplift? My friend said that was her impression as well.
When we came back, we decided to just get the two shirts. When I purchased the shirts, the girls didn't say one word to us. When the girl pushed the bag towards me without saying anything, I looked at her and said, "THANK YOU!" she just gave me a little courtesy smile without saying anything. I said to my friend leaving the store, wow, weren't they friendly or what, my friend said, yeah! what was their issue? I said, "Maybe they were racist?? (Normally, I won't throw that around), but my friend also wondered. I'm Caucasian male, and my friend is Asian female. Two Hispanic females working.
This used to be my favorite store as I remember nice chats with the owner before talking about her products. This store has certainly changed and isn't my favorite store anymore at...
Read moreJe ne comprends pas what it is with the employees in this shop. They're oblivious to the fact that w/o customers spending, the store may be non-existent and they may not work there. First time we went, the cashiers' demeanors alone suggested inhospitality. Not a hello nor a thank you. We just went on another occasion and worse than the last visit. Dude would not stop following/watching us like a hawk. Like, do folks need to attach their CVs on their foreheads to prove a point? I tried so hard to ignore the guy and focus on choosing items I wanted to buy. However, no-one deserved this. Even when I get ready to pay, he and another employee continued to follow my family around the store. When we finally get ready to exit, various customers were arriving and I purposely stood to observe. Behold, these employees were chilling, allowing the customers to roam around the...
Read moreSure they have a great location, right there at the stockyards, but the attitude of my cashier Sarah made me never wanna shop here again. I visited on 12/31/15 and asked why the Christmas stuff wasn't on sale. She bluntly said because they lose money. I said well, you lost a sale with me. She said well that's ok, we will just put it out and sell it next Christmas. So they'd rather stow it away than sell their stock? Such bad energy from her, I couldn't wait to leave, and I regretted buying my 1 small souvenir that night. They're nothing special...shop anywhere else and you won't miss out, but will probably get treated better and heaven forbid valued...
