f you're going to Disney World but not staying at a Disney hotel and staying nearby neighborhood hotel instead, you'll find souvenir shops near the hotel without fail.

While each shop offers similar items, you can purchase Disney merchandise more affordably than within the park.

Typically, on the first day of arrival, I stop by Walmart or a souvenir shop to buy something to wear in the park or items like T-shirt, Mickey ears or hats. This lets you immerse yourself in the Disney mood right from the morning of the first day in the park.

This particular shop is connected to an Angus beef restaurant and even has a smoke shop accessible from inside. Perhaps they share the same owner.

The souvenir shop is just the right size—not too big, not too small—and very convenient. If you're not concerned about old model, you can also find greatly discounted T-shirts and merchandise from previous years.
