I ordered a cake on Wed 9-25-2019 for a special occassion at my office to be picked up on Friday morning at 6AM. This was my first time ordering a cake from Dairy Queen. The cake was to be Blue and Pink and say Congratulations Kara on you new bundle of Joy. On Friday I got to the restaurant at 6:45. I waited 5 minutes before seeing anyone working in the restaurant. There was one customer in there before me. Once I was waited on I told them I was there to pick up a cake I had ordered. He went to the back and come back a few minutes later and told me that the cake was back there, but that they had to do the writing on it. He asked if it was a gender reveal cake and was told no. it was for a young lady who was not going to find out the gender until the baby was born. I paid for the cake and was given a discount due to my wait time. After waiting another 10 minutes they brought the cake to me and before I noticed what was written on the cake they were again in the back. The cake said Congratulations on your gender reveal Boy or Girl?. I was really frustrated, but had to get to work since i was already running late after being there for 30 minutes and did not how long they would be in the back before coming out in front again. I am not frustrated with the individuals working this morning, but I am frustrated with the woman who took the order Wednesday for not writing it down correctly an with the cake decorator for not finishing the cake. The individuals this morning were put on the spot trying to get things done and were not aware of the cake order. I feel this is very poor service on the restaurants part. I really hope the cake taste better than the service I...
Read moreAfter waiting 10 minutes standing at the counter for someone to come take our simple order of 2 sundaes and a cone, we had to wait ANOTHER 15 minutes before finally getting our food. The fact that 2 different customers came in after us and each ordered complicated blizzards but were served BEFORE US, while we were standing right there waiting, was annoying, but I literally had to ask the girl who had just come in on shift if she could make our food. The lone grumpy lady at the register that took out order promptly disappeared into the back to talk loudly to 1 or 2 other people who were standing around, not making orders or seeming to do anything, and then re-emerged back to the counter as we were eating. I heard her greet at least 3 customers and saw her come and bring an order to someone, all after an over 20 minute period of doing nothing and making us wait while she actively ignored us. I understand can be difficult to keep up when short staffed, and we were fine with having to wait. But it was inexcusable to take and prepare the orders of others who had come in after us while completely ignoring us, standing right there and waiting. Will definitely not waste my time coming...
Read more7 PM on 7/15/2018. Drive through is painfully slow. When I finally got to place my order, I had to repeat myself multiple times because they kept getting my very simple order very wrong. Finally, when the order was finished, the drive through tech simply said "Pull around". No order total, no reading the order back to me, just "Pull around". When we finally received our order at the drive through window, it was wrong of course. My wife ordered a 6 piece chicken strip basket with extra gravy, and got a 4 piece spicy chicken strip basket instead. Took the order inside for a replacement, and there was a huge line of very annoyed people waiting on their orders. They did replace my order, but forgot the extra gravy, so more waiting. By the time my wife's order was finally correct and I got back to our car, my burger was cold.
This is not an isolated incident. When we order blizzards or ice cream here, it generally works out OK, but if we ever order food of any other kind, it is always wrong. No joke, they've never, ever gotten our order correct the first time.
This place is a joke. We swore off ever coming back, but then gave them another chance, and we...
