I love this place with beautiful truffles and rows of gourmet almost rarely seen chocolate bars from all over the world plus wonderful drinking chocolate. Love it!
We bought a box of 8...amaretto, passionfruit, 5 spice hazelnut, salted caramel, strawberry, dark chocolate cherry, mixed berry, mango tequila. The box is beautifully wrapped eith their custom ribbon and comes in a blue handled kraft bag. It comes with the small card that tells you what most of the chocolates are but you need to go to the website for the specialty stuff. The wonderful lady there also gave us two samples. The chocolate they use is premium and so very rich and creamy.
Their flavors are truly exquisite and wonderfully balanced. If it says it has something in it, you will taste it. You not only get to eat it first with your eyes but when it hits your palate, you will close your eyes with the decadence hitting all those bells and whistles in your brain that make you want to shout "Yes!" like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally in the Diner scene...mouth orgasm. There is thought and creativity from start to finish in each one and it's like a mini work of art that is almost too pretty to eat...but you will!
I got a chance to talk to a gentleman there when I went in the other day about the chocolate bars he imported in from HI. He was extremely helpful as he tried to explain the chocolate that people either love it or hate it. I understand what he meant as it has a tinge of volcanic smoke to it and a bitter undertone which somewhat negates the sweet. But the experience of eating it was truly sublime. Him and his staff are always amazing and make each experience there one worth remembering.
When I give these to people...I feel like I'm giving them a little gift of love as I can feel it in how these are so thoughtfully made. And the other wonderful thing about them is that you can order...
Read moreI’ve been coming to perfect truffle for about 10 years now and have absolutely loved it. A couple of weeks ago I wanted to take my partner there to get some chocolates and their hot chocolate as it was his first time. There were a couple of people ahead of us and were asking for recommendations on chocolates etc.. the women at the counter completely ignored them and it was such an awkward vibe they ended up going to another chocolate shop… We stood at the register as we knew what we wanted and the women at the counter completely just ignored us. We ended up asking if we could get a hot chocolate and the lady was sooo rude, it was very obvious she did not want to help anyone. I have never experienced service like this especially here, I typically give the benefit of the doubt.. but man.. this was not good at all. Once we got the hot chocolate and she rang us up, she just left to go back to what she was doing, not even sticking around for the transaction to be completed. We thanked them and wished them both a good day, and nothing. It was a super strange and an extremely awkward experience. I hope this isn’t a common occurrence, the only saving grace of that experience was of course their hot chocolate.. it...
Read moreLet me just say this, the energy was on point! I am a huge chocolate fan and I know my chocolates! The owner had not only milk salted caramel chocolate, but he had dark salted caramel chocolate. He gave two options, which was amazing! There were so many options, it was great. But most of all the softness and the creaminess of that salted caramel chocolate was phenomenal! Let me tell you how good it was. I got 12 of them! The passionfruit one is so tropical! Not only that was the owner, super kind and friendly, I will definitely be back! It was super fun shopping for chocolate just like a kid loves candy! I felt so welcomed. I love how he created the look of the caramel milk chocolate there is flaky salt on top in the first thing you taste is the salt, but then it flows into the creaminess of the chocolate. It’s an incredible creation! Can we just say genius!? Here’s a wonderful picture of what I had the...
