Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience purchasing a washer and dryer from Gateway Appliances.
The machines were fine, but the service was awful.
We paid extra money to have the machines delivered and installed. The delivery team was unprofessional and unequipped to properly deliver and install a washer and dryer. They dropped the machines multiple times, damaging our floors.
When we asked Gateway Appliances to address the damaged floor, they refused. They sub-contracted the delivery to a third party and had no means of addressing the damage.
Similar to other people's experiences, we paid extra for delivery and installation. However, the delivery team refused to do the installation; we had to do it ourselves.
To top it all off, we discovered, during installation, that the leveling legs for the washing machine were removed prior to delivery. Of course, we had to fix that problem ourselves and at our own expense.
By the time we finally got our washer and dryer up and running (weeks later), we ended up paying hundreds of dollars more than the price that was listed on the price tag. We paid for the installation materials, we paid to fix the floors, and we paid for the missing parts. It would have been cheaper to purchase new machines, and have them delivered and installed by professionals.

Free short-term store warranty, paid warranty offered. That's it. No gimmicks, no fake holiday sales, no sign-up-for-our-mailing-list, no pushy salesman, no hidden costs.
