My experience at this Men’s Wearhouse location was a bit confusing, but I appreciate the assistance I eventually received.
What could have been a quick and smooth process ended up taking a bit longer than expected.
When I arrived, I wasn’t quite sure who to ask for help, as the employees dressed similarly to customers. This made it a little tricky to identify staff members when they are dressed for senior prom.
After looking around for assistance, I eventually came across a QR code for check-in, but it was placed at the back of the store, making it easy to miss (hence there could've been one at the front but I do not remember seeing one). After scanning it, I expected someone to call out numbers or provide guidance, but that didn’t happen. I waited without knowing when I would be helped until someone finally approached me.
Lastly the actual service was fine, but the parking lot itself should represent the view of the company here. Just in front of the store there is all sorts of trash ranging from cigarettes to lip balm.
I think there is definitely room for improvement here through several methods.
Incorporate Nametags - Employees should wear name tags or badges to stand out from customers.
Relocate or clearly mark the QR code - Placing the check-in system near or in front entrance with clear instructions will prevent mass confusion.
Better Check-In communication - There should be a roster posted, or staff should notify customers when they are next.
Dedicated Employee roles - Staff should be assigned to specific roles for sizing, sales, register, and general customer service. (This way there is a flow setup rather than having one employee responsible for the entire sale process.)
I hate to leave 3 stars here, but I truly believe this establishment is capable of maintaining its professional reputation while also improving and speeding up the customer experience.
My intention isn't to cause any issues—I just want to provide helpful feedback so the store can continue to improve and offer the best experience for its...
Read moreMy Husband and I are attending my daughter's wedding on April 23 in Virginia and we live in McAllen, TX so we chose Men's Warehouse for the occasion. The associates at that location were so very nice to us and we're very patient and respectful and we felt very welcomed. We had the Tux transferred to the Fredericksburg, VA location to pick up there once we arrived here. It was the worse experience and we felt we were a bother for the associates working at that store. My husband went to try on the tux to make sure it all fit properly and I was standing outside his dressing room door and I was told by a nasty and very rude associate to get out of the way and move to a bench. I was so ready to return the Tux at that very moment and get my $250.00 back that we paid. Then after my husband was done we were getting ready to exit the store and another older man working there was coming towards us in our direction and told us to get out of the way that he was very busy. The entire time we were there I noticed him walking around with an attitude, he acted like he was the owner of the store. He never said excuse me, almost like he pushed us out of his way, I was ready to throw the tux at him and demand a refund!!!! I'll never shop at this store again. We spent alot of money and got alterations and this is how they treat their customers. It's uncalled for and we felt that they were racist too. All they wanted was for us to get the tux, pay and get out of their way and leave. This was suppose to be a happy time and it was our first experience at renting a tux but never again will...
Read moreThe store manager , Calvin Jones, delivers the most exceptional customer service out there. I work for a home builder and I understand what great customer service looks like, and often times I feel it is a lost art — but not here. Calvin has been serving customers at the highest level for many years now, and I see it happening for every customer in the store. And with Calvin in a management role, you can tell that the entire store embodies his approach and his attitude. At my last visit, a couple of store associates (Stephanie and Rommie) went out of their way to make sure my suit was ready for wedding day — and their tailor even stayed late at their request to make sure my pants were the perfect fit for the big day. I will always refer family, coworkers, & friends to Calvin on a regular basis, because his store never disappoints. Calvin is going to make sure your suit is looking great and you have everything you need, on time. He has taken care of me on the biggest occasions life has to offer, time and time again. He has EARNED a customer for life, and many more, I'm sure! This is the only place you will find me buying a suit or...
