I just called in to order a cake for my son's birthday and the lady on the phone was extremely unprofessional and rude. My simple question to her was if they are open on Monday and she asked when do I need my order. She did not respond to my question if they are closed or open on Monday. She muttered something on the phone that I could order/pick the cake on Sunday night. I did not clearly understand her response(I assumed they were open on Monday since she asked when I needed the order on Monday) Keeping that in my mind, I asked my question again that when can I pick on Monday. She lost her temper, screamed and yelled at me as if I did not understand her . I openly told her to stop screaming and clarified that I am just asking details and I did not quite get her clearly. She did not even bother to apologize or acknowledge her behavior on the phone for screaming. I asked her once more about when I can pick the order and she again yelled back at me that I can pick only on Sunday night. I understand that people have a bad day or a busy day with too many customers but screaming at another potential customer who is trying to just get details and get some clarification about a cake order is not justified and that is bad...
Read moreI came in a few minutes ago. The door makes a loud sound. A woman was behind the register area working on a cake. A young girl was dancing and twirling around. I stood there for almost 6-7 minutes. I looked around briefly and then stood in the middle section, looking at the back of the woman's head. I finally decided to leave, but as leaving, I said, "you can at least acknowledge customers." The woman then started yelling and almost ran after me. She stood at the entrance door and continued yelling by saying I was looking at the cake book and I could have said something. I don't know what cake book she's talking about. I said she was doing something and I didn't want to interrupt her. The door definitely makes a loud sound, so she could have said that she would be with me in a few minutes or that she's just finishing up, or "hello." Instead, this owner/worker woman ran after me, stood at the door and shouted that I was rude. What? Rude for telling her to acknowledge people who walk through her door? Ok. Well, I drove a few feet down the parking lot to Paris Baguette and got a few cake slices...in and out in 3 minutes. Definitely never returning to this...
Read moreMy husband and I had just finished dinner but weren’t quite satisfied, so we went on the hunt for something sweet. Instead of heading to a well-known bakery, I wanted to try something new and I’m so glad we did! We stumbled upon this little Indian bakery, and what a gem it turned out to be.
As soon as we walked in, I noticed the samosas behind the counter and was curious. I asked if they were spicy and the lady behind the counter was so kind, she explained they had just the right level of spice. Another customer even chimed in and recommended I try it with mint sauce. Everyone was so welcoming, it felt like a warm community space.
We picked out four beautiful slices of Indian-style cake, some of which were eggless. They looked incredible!
And the food? Amazing! The cakes were so light, not overly sweet, just perfect. You know that guilty feeling you sometimes get after indulging in dessert? Not with these. And the samosa, especially with the mint sauce, was flavorful and delicious.
We’re so happy we decided to explore something new. This place is now our new...
