La Cocina de Mama — Restaurant in Fresno

I was surprised to see the reviews on this place because i was expecting to see mostly bad ones since the food has no flavor whatsoever and it seems old. We got the taco salad and a small breakfast burrito. The burrito was way overpriced for the size and what they put in it, it was super tiny. The taco salad just didn’t have any flavor rice and beans seemed old and they didn’t even put cheese, guac or sour cream in it very basic food. The salsa wasn’t spicy or had any flavor. First time here today, I love that the food is made to order, so it’s super fresh and hot, speaking of hot it is HOT in there lol but honestly once I sat down and took my first bite of the carne asada burrito I totally did not care about heat. It was like eating at abuelitas house and they never turn the a/c on ha ha super authentic taste, the carne asada with the salsa verde reminded me of how my mom and grandma used to make. Will be coming back...
