A site with a lot of unique things in it, especially for stocking stuffers; however, the prices are higher than Walmart or Target would be on most items.
I definitely don't suggest making candy purchases here, either. A regular size candy bar is $2.50 or more, here. The same size at Walmart is around $1.50.
Be sure to check the packages inside, if possible, before purchasing. I have found several items that were damaged after getting them home and looking at them.
They do have some really cool books that are a great value for $5 or so. I have picked up journals, large coloring books, and other interesting books that I haven't seen at any other store.
As long as you wash their T-shirts on cold and hang them to dry, they typically won't shrink. I found an adorable MTV shirt there last year and it has held up very well.
If you are looking for a place to get cute things for your tween or teenager, you will find lots of things here that they will like. Lots of collectible figurines, name-brand toy items, etc.
Their art/sketch pads and books are a great buy. The store also has a good price on their packaged canvases as well as miscellaneous acrylic paints. Cute coloring books for only $1.
Be smart, don't assume that all of the items in there are cheaper than they would be elsewhere, and you will find a few deals.
The flow of the store can be a bit annoying, as the layout is in such a way that people tend to run into each other. Small aisles are not helpful.
Beware close to Christmas! This place gets packed! Do your...
Read moreI like Five Below. This is my first time coming to this location. I was there earlier this week. At the register, it asks you to provide your email to get an email receipt instead of a requesting a paper receipt. If you request an email receipt, then you will also get 10% coupon in your inbox. I'm down for eco-friendliness, and I probably will have an opportunity to use the coupon since holiday season is coming, so I opted for the email receipt and promotion. DO NOT GIVE THE REGISTER YOUR EMAIL, IT IS A SCAM! I didn't receive the email receipt. When I didn't receive my receipt after 5 minutes, I went back into the store and asked for a printed receipt. I didn't care whether the paper receipt cancelled the coupon. The cashier kept talking about a "promotions inbox" like a robot who thinks the entire world uses Gmail. The useless manager couldn't retrieve the receipt from the POS system (trust me, there's no such thing as a store manager not having access to the computer that has a history of purchases in order to reprint a receipt ... so this manager was playing dumb). Since I left the store, I received two spam marketing emails from Five Below, and yet no coupon and still no email receipt. The issue clearly isn't my email. At this point, I don't even trust those emails to not be infected with malware. The scam looks like email and data harvesting ... and of course, the obvious marketing emails begging people to buy buy buy. Avoid this scam by requesting a paper receipt in store or...
Read moreI'm a Special Education teacher and the best add-ons for my ELAR lessons come from 5 Below. For example, for early finisher's, there is 300 or 400 Writing Prompts, Write the Poem, and Complete the story. To get students"thinking" about writing, I use '300 Ways to Begin Writing a Wonderful Story. This book has writing situations for every occasion. For my more experienced writers or students that want to go deeper within, the journals are a life saver. I also got some pillows, throws, clip on battery operated lights, and other items to fix up my reading nook to make it cozy. Added some aromatherapy, (also from 5 Below), and students have the perfect area to sit with a good read. Most of my holiday and birthday present shopping is done at 5 Below. I also got fitness gear and journals to keep track of this journey too. I LOVE...
