I tried to return a shirt at this location and only had the tag it came with but lost the receipt. I just wanted to exchange it for something else because I had already been to four other stores and couldn't find the size I needed. The tag said "red" on it and the shirt was navy but I bought only that shirt and a pair of shorts that day so the store must have put a misprint on the tag. The manager was very rude and short with me. Her name was Bridgette. There was another one but only in a small on the rack. She told me if that tag said "red" they would exchange it. Well it said navy on it but that is not my fault the other ross screwed up on the tag on my shirt. All I wanted to do was exchange it for 2 other items and was even going to pay a $15 difference. How stupid for your company not to take that extra profit. Instead, I was angry and frustrated I walked out with nothing and even left that shirt on the counter. Also, your systems are very outdated. Your system should be able to look up a purchase on a credit card when a customer loses a receipt. Also, why are the upc codes from the manufacturer tag not linked with the special upc code Ross attaches to merchandise? It would have saved a lot of trouble and this negative review if the employee was able to just type in the printed upc code inside the shirt. Your lines are also a pain and I stood in one line for over 10 minutes just to find out I had to stand in another line specifically for returns and exchanges. Not all of your stores have separate desks for purchased and returns which is very confusing. I am not impressed with your stores or your customer service and will be taking my business to the other discount clothing stores, because we all know there are plenty of...
Read moreWe were there pretty late at night on July 5, 2016. There were a few workers putting things away near the shoe isle. My daughter was trying on some heels for the first time and walking over to me to show me. Later on she came over to me and looked really shy and upset. She told me that one of the workers told her not to play around with the shoes. I looked over at her and she was in a pretty intense gossip session with another worker. They were all worked up about someone or something and not trying to make any attempts at hiding their unprofessional conversation. We went to check out and both women were busy. I got the vibe that we were a bit of an inconvenience to these workers. Finally one told us to come over to us. While we were checking out, a man came over with his family and asked if she was the only one checking out. She smiled sarcastically and said, "I'm the only one here." She gave him very vague directions about where to stand in line and he did not understand and continued to stand next to us. Another woman opened her register and he walked over to her, cutting in front of everyone in line. She said, "and that's why I just stand here and smile." I was very disappointed in the vibe at the store. It was as though everyone was irritated about working the late shift, mad that people were still shopping, (an hour before closing) and did not feel like their job was to serve customers. If this is going to be the late shift attitude, it might be a good idea to...
Read moreToday was the first time i’ve been at this location in years as we are waiting for our new house to be built and are staying in the area. The store was very unorganized, stuff was everywhere and all out of place, shoes were in the wrong sections etc
I was still trying to enjoy shopping for items for our new house regardless of how unorganized and chaotic it was. In the candle aisle I was smelling candles and accidentally slipped, and dropped a candle on my foot where it shattered. I guess the manager was an aisle over because I heard her say to someone “did those kids break something, I swear.” She ran over and said “Ma’am, you shouldn’t have small children in the candle aisle” I explained to her that it wasn’t a child that broke the candle, it was in fact me who dropped it on my foot, and showed her my bleeding toe. She then goes “Oh so you’re saying it wasn’t a child?” mocked me, and then goes “well someone has to pay for this and obviously you aren’t” and walks away. I was absolutely appalled at her behavior. Maybe organize your store a little bit better so it’s easier to maneuver instead of blaming children (who were in my cart) on breaking an item.
She literally looked at my bleeding toe, walked away and didn’t even bother cleaning the glass or offering...
