Super disappointed in my experience yesterday. As I was looking for fish tanks and decorations, I noticed a beta in very yellow water. When I inspected it the fish was on his back dead. I was mortified because I could see the decaying of the body. As I looked closer I found yet another dead beta. I went to the fish tanks with all the other fish and saw at least 3 more dead fish floating at the top being eaten by other fish. I brought the fish to the nearest workers and found a group of 3. I told them I found them dead over there and handed them to her. As she looked at me puzzled and simply said “okay” I quickly put together that the employees are neglecting the care of the fish. To have multiple fish decaying in their habitats, while some were being eaten by the other fish shows total neglect. I walked around to look at fish decorations, than decided to go back and look to see if I could find anymore that were dead. I did find some, but I also found the two betas I gave to the employee to discard, on top of a shelf by the sink. There must be plenty of employees since I always see groups together around having conversations. No one can take care of the fish properly though? Absolutely disgusted that these fish are neglected the way they are. Do better Meijer, take care of the fish or don’t have them at...

A Michigan based, started in Grand Rapids michigan... At one time it was open 24/7 prior to covid. Meijer is known as the One stop shop for everything.. over recent years Meyers have really tried to standardize all the stores. As new product hits the market Myers has been cutting back and removing some of the old product on their shelves to make room for new product... Just recently one of the the Muskegon stores removed headlight bulbs for your vehicle, while the other North Muskegon store still had it... I would say that at one time Meijer was a store where you could go in and pick up some trivial item and they had it.... But as the market changes and they're looking to create more revenue it's understandable that they need to have product in the store that will sell and not sit on the shelf for 5 years because somebody decides they finally want to come in and buy a widget. LOL... Staff is always friendly and helpful, they have full service checkouts Express checkouts and five item in less self checkouts... Some of the deli foods are no longer being hot in a box to go, but if you're looking to buy oil for your car, a home light bulb, fishing equipment and licensing, a ladder, a video game system, a bottle of booze, some deli meat and a frozen pizza you've come to shop at the...
