Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Fruitport Charter Township

This was my and my family’s worst experience at a Texas Roadhouse. We’re all pretty laid back and don’t like to make a fuss over small issues, but this was terrible.

First, our server was good, but as other stuff started to happen, you could see she was expecting no tip and her attitude changed. Overall, she was a trooper. Otherwise this would be one star.

They were a bit busy since it was a Friday, but they sat us right away. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The appetizer took a bit to come out but overall no complaints.

We ordered our steaks at the same time as the appetizer, which took a long time to come out. When they did, all 4 were over cooked—a lot. The steaks were not seasoned at all and the mushrooms were like soggy cardboard.

Unfortunately, we had to send the whole table back. They cooked 4 new steaks, which took an additional 30 minutes to come out. When they did bring out the replacements they didn’t have my husband’s, so we waited another 5-10 minutes. My daughters said theirs was good. This time mine was cooked okay but had zero flavor, and they brought the wrong sides back. When my husband finally got his it was completely raw.

We’d talked to managers and waitresses a couple times at this point and not one apologized. Each following visit from staff took longer and longer. Keep in mind, we are not being rude, we’re not yelling, we’re not causing a scene, we’re just clearly disappointed.

My husband forfeited dinner altogether. I ate about 5 bites of steak before I was done trying.

They took off his steak and the appetizer, but the quality of the meal was not worth what we paid.

So disappointed, and won’t be returning for some time. Hopefully by then they will have new cooks...

So to start off with got to give credit where credit is due you can't have a good dinner good atmosphere without a great server and I mean a server that is coming back to your table within a 5 minute revolution Maya is an excellent server and me and my friend were lucky to get her at Ray waitress / server I bet you she goes home with fat pockets cuz of how good of service she knows how to provide two thumbs up five stars and I will for sure be asking if Maya is working next time I go out to eat with service like hers I think I might get disappointed with another servers The manager now Brenda I believe in her name she just came to West Michigan from the east side of the state we ask to speak with her because we wanted to let her know that her server's doing a dynamite job would talk with her for about 5 minutes about how good of customer service skills Maya has and that she's lucky to have her as an associate I've been out to Texas steakhouse two other times and I must say the service wasn't the greatest but Maya has surely redeemed all the other bad servers that came before and breed new life into Texas steakhouse any other servers reading this I hope you would pay attention to your fellow coworker and take some cues from her like no matter how busy you are you can't forget about your tables and that's one thing my I didn't do and believe me it was slamming in there when we went to eat we went in there during prime dinner time hours about 5:30 we got there right before the wait for seats were starting to build up anyhow I'm not a person that likes to take surveys and stuff like that but what I do do is post comments on Google review because my positive experiences or my...

Twice now my family and I have attempted to celebrate a member's birthday at the Texas Roadhouse and Grill located in Muskegon Michigan. During our previous visit we had placed a reservation for a large party an hour and a half prior to our arrival. Upon arriving we were told that they never received a reservation nor would they be able to sit us for over an hour. Although we began waiting, an hour passed. We asked when we would be seated and were informed we would have to wait another hour. We proceeded to watch as several large parties were then seated. Due to this disrespectful performance on their behalf we proceeded to another location. Today we again attempted to celebrate a birthday party at this location. My 9 yrs old niece was hoping to be able to celebrate her birthday their as we have not went there due to Covid-19 precautions and requirements. We decided this time that we would arrive and let them know our party size at that point and wait to be seated. We were even willing to wait for 2 tables or even a table and booth next to each other due to our party size. We were informed by the host that they could not seat our party together and we expressed our willingness to wait for a table and booth or 2 tables next to each other. She then proceeded to tell us she wouldn't be able to sit us at all together. She then went and got the Manager who told us that the only way they would sit us was by splitting our party up and sitting us on separate sides of the restaurant.
