SNEAKER LAB OC — Local services in Fullerton

I recently visited SneakerlabOC to sell a pair of shoes. Initially, everything went smoothly, with the shop owner, Leo, inspecting the shoes. We agreed on a price, and he processed the payment via PayPal. However, I received $10 less than the agreed amount.

I support small businesses, but professionalism is crucial, and unfortunately, this was lacking in this instance. Hours later, Leo sent me a screenshot claiming the shoes were replicas, which I found disrespectful. We were supposed to resolve this dispute together.

Shop owners often protect themselves with "all sales are final" policies, but consumers deserve similar protections. What happens after the consumer leaves the store is beyond their control. Although I could have pursued an investigation, it would have taken months to resolve. Furthermore, we should have conducted the legitimacy check together in the store.

I agreed to refund the payment to the shop owner, but he charged me an additional $10. Given this experience, I recommend considering other resale shops or sticking with retail for your sneaker purchases.

Any sneaker resell business who is professional enough to spot a “replica” should have done so at the time of transaction, not after the fact…waste of time and waste of gas, small shops like this need more etiquette in customer service.
