UPDATE: We returned to give this place a 2nd try and Cecelia helped us. She was so courteous and helpful. It seems they have updated with staff who enjoy helping customers and maintain the shop well. Will def return. *Old post- Took the kids out after a special event to celebrate. Evening staff made us feel like a ghost and almost killed the mood. My 3 year old daughter greeted the employee twice before we were ever acknowleged. Never been here but luckily I had read enough reviews to know somewhat how it works. Choose a cup or cone cup, and choose, choose, choose toppings... Loved the concept and the MILLION and 1 choices. Will probably not come back though on account of how employees treated us though. They just didn't hardly speak or look at us. We did not even know where spoons were located (opposite side of register). Just not fun to be treated like we are non-existent. We live up the road and ship with the UPS Store next door almost daily and I get my nails done by the Vietnamese lady at the nail shop a few doors down as well, so was hoping to make this one of our weekly spots. The ice cream was fantabulous and my kids loved it! Highly recommend the ice cream, cannot say the same about the service though sadly ... When a person can barely speak or look at ya enough to direct to the eating utensils and 2 ancy toddlers are excited to eat the ice cream ensemble they put together...help a customer out...jeesh. Tips: 1. Avoid evening crew, 2. Def try out the $5 Mon 4-9pm deal. That is a sweet offer for ice cream lovers for sure. One cup of ours (without it being full was almost $7. 3. If you plan on coming often sign up for the rewards point system. Don't know enough about it to share but saw it on the table. 3. Don't load up a cup of the chocolate flavor...suuuuper sweet. It was like a cup of double chocolate jello. 4. Check local ads for the bogo 50% off coup. This place kinda reminded me of an upgraded TCBY...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start with saying that the yogurt is good and the restaurant is clean. But! I've been to this Menchie's 4 or 5 times this summer and there is one employee that is absolutely horrible! The first time I went and she was working, she was only outside of the kitchen to ring us up. While my brother and I were eating, a man (not in Menchie's uniform) went into the kitchen with food from a restaurant and came back out a bit later and left. The second situation I had with this employee was that she, again, only came out from the back to ring us up. While my sister and I ate our yogurt another costomer came in and got her yogurt and then waited at the checkout counter for a few minutes. The employee did not come out at any point in this. The costomer had to go back to the kitchen and call her out of the kitchen. After the costomer left, she left a doorbell and a note next to the cash register saying to rung the bell if help was needed. This woman does not give costomers the time of day and it is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is one of the VERY FEW Menchies that prohibit any samples. Reason being, they are unfortunately located near an elementary school. The problem is there are SO MANY FLAVORS, you have to pay for a frozen yogurt treat to discover whether you like it or not. To think youāre saving money by not giving samples actually results in a greater loss of sales from true paying costumers. A better resolve would be to charge 50 cents or $1.00 for samples and IF the customer regardless of age, purchases a cup of yogurt, that sample fee would get applied to the purchase. We always enjoyed Menchies in the past but not this one because they refuse to give samples to real...
