The Silver Galleon — Local services in Gatlinburg

After an exhausting day-long search up and down and around the strip in Gatlinburg, we finally found The Silver Galleon, a charming shop located at the front of the Ober Gatlinburg tram mall. Chelsea, one of the shopkeepers, was incredibly sweet and helpful. Thanks to her diligent and knowledgeable assistance, my husband may have found enough moccasin-style leather slippers to last him a lifetime … well at least for the next 10 years or so. Lord have mercy, if these slippers wear out and Minnetonkas are no longer available. We must thank The Silver Galleon and Chelsea for their exceptional service. They also have a beautiful selection of silver jewelry, much of it handmade Native American. They also have Native American pottery. This shop is a delightful departure from the mass produced knick-knacks that seem to dominate most of the shops...

The Owner of this store is so ENTITLED she doesn't need anyone's business. Have been shopping The Silver Galleon with Rusty for years. Have bought lots of pieces from this store. Have recommended this store to friends and family, but after meeting the owner today never again. She was the rudest most ENTITLED person I have ever met. I asked for Rusty and she refused to sell me the items I had picked out and let me know that SHE WAS THE OWNER! She also said I hurt her feelings for asking for him. He is who I dealt with for years, why wouldn't I ask for him. I apologized over and over again to her and she still wouldn't sell me my items. Evidently she is so ENTITLED that she doesn't need...

I stopped in here with my girlfriend while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant and enjoyed browsing around. As you can imagine a lot of the items were priced high but that reflected their good craftsmanship, I feel. The staff was helpful and treated us very nicely when we explained our budget and that we were looking for simple ear studs. They were patient as my girlfriend compared all the options available - and there were many. They had some truly one of a kind items and I'd love to come back if I had the money - you could get someone an incredibly unique gift here. That being said they have a good selection and I'm sure you could find something here...
