We stayed 2 nights at Days Inn. We got 3 rooms. Upon check-in, my card was declined. I found out later it was because the front desk person was trying to charge me $8,092.00. The person was nice and got it sorted out. It may be easier to write pros and cons for my stay.

PROS:

  1. Beds are new. They are comfortable.
  2. The usual dusty curtains werent there. They replaced it with 2 shades. The one shade has a waterfall scenery on it. It's different and pretty.
  3. Cici's pizza, a small, small grocery store and wine tasting, gas station, and Crockett's is all next door.
  4. There is a huge patio outside the pool with many tables and chairs for sitting to relax.
  5. There is a view of the ski lift. It lights up at night. So pretty!
  6. There are plenty of towels!
  7. There are plenty of pillows!
  8. We needed more pillows and a blanket during our stay and it was promptly brought up by someone at the desk. No issues. The person who brought them up was polite and kind.
  9. There are flat screen TVs, microwaves, coffee maker, fridge, desk, table lamp, iron, and ironing board.
  10. Breakfast was very decent. Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, Jimmy Dean English Muffin with canadian bacon, egg, and cheese, yogurts, GoGurts, prepackaged breakfast cakes, pancakes. You just load up a bag and take it back to your room (dining room is closed due to covid).
  11. Ice machine works
  12. There are vending machines.
  13. Wifi works great
  14. Rooms were clean. No bed bugs, no roaches, no weird smells.

CONS:

  1. Whoever painted these rooms, they did a poor job. The wall isnt painted in a few areas. (Not a huge deal though).
  2. The tub doesnt drain when we shower. The water rises to my calf.
  3. The toilets rock.
  4. The toilets dont flush well. You will have to flush multiple times sometimes.
  5. The pool is cold. My kids lips were blue. The babies were shivering.
  6. There is no elevator. You have to go up several flights of stairs or several flights of steep ramps to get to your room. If you are in a wheelchair, good luck getting it up that ramp. It is NOT wheelchair friendly. I am not in a wheelchair and I was dying a thousand deaths trying to carry groceries and our things up that ramp.
  7. Parking is minimal. The hotel was at 100% capacity during our stay (per front desk when we asked for 3 adjoining rooms). We made sure to get back early each night so we had a parking spot.
  8. The patio floods in some spots and is quite slippery. Not sure if it is the rain, the pool, or a combination of both.
  9. The indoor pool door is a trip hazard.
  10. The bathroom is a literal closet. Sooooo tiny!
  11. The bathtub has a major dip in it. You cannot see it, but when showering, you can feel it. It's like standing in a ditch and then the water rises above your ankles.

With that said, would I stay here again? If I had more time to save and prepare for this trip, I would have chosen something better. If you arent willing to spend a lot and just basically want a place to sleep with no frills, this place isnt bad. There were lots of families during our stay. It is quiet at night. Parts of it was decent, but I guess I am just a bit more high maintenance for this. I would stay again if I was on a low budget again. Otherwise, I would go...

DON’T STAY HERE! Beware the online photos are misleading by far. This hotel is way past its due date, just like its milk in the fridge. We arrived at the hotel and first thing I tripped over a stone step that’s their entry way. It’ was extremely hard for my dad to walk and this step into the building was ridiculous. There is a ramp on the other side but it’s really long for a person who walks with assistance and a cane. They had no disability rooms. You can reserve one but they don’t have them. The photo online must be from a king room and they added a chair in the bath for photos. The elevator stunk awful. I literally had to put my hand over my face while in it. It was filthy with the carpet torn and the floor uneven. The luggage cart had a flat tire and there were no ice buckets. Some of the Milk in the fridge was expired. The wood on the balconies was warped with 90% of the paint peeled off. The concrete on the balconies was green. The balcony chairs were stained and the plastic coating was rotted and peeling. The doors were all severely scratched up on the rooms. The outdoor hallways were dirty concrete that had green mold with air conditioning water running across the walkways everywhere. The individual air conditioning systems themselves all had plastic food bowls bowls sitting under them overflowing with water. The pool was cloudy and the heater didn’t work. I would believe it to be unsafe to swim in as the chemicals were obviously not right, I’m not a pool guy but I do own a crystal clear pool. The pool carpet was green with mold and huge stains at the entry doors. The patio by the pool had dried weeds in the concrete flower pots, not flowers. It was also dirty. The sheets in the hotel room were dirty and had been slept on with someone just pulling the comforter up to cover the dirt and hairs on it. We went to the office to get them changed and we were taken to a laundry room and given sheets to change them ourselves. We were told there was no housekeeping staff there although we saw one housekeeper going in a room on another walkway. The dirty sheets were just left in the very small room all night until we could find someone to take them. The bathtub didn’t drain and the water pressure was extremely low so it takes awhile to wash the soap out of your hair. There were some upkeeps to the rooms but they were dark and not for the visually impaired. This hotel should be torn down and a new one built in its place. The reviews on Google must be written by the owners because this place is a dump and it’s disgusting. I would definitely have spent the extra $ to stay across the street if I had known. Stay in any hotel around it, just DON’T STAY HERE! Wyndham should be ashamed to put their sticky name tags over the scratched up room doors on this place. There was a bear in the parking garage under the hotel during the night. There were cars of people playing loud music and loitering in the parking...

Our first room has mold in the bathtub, water leaking around the base of the commode, the carpet was wet, there were stains on the bed linens and a hand towel (from a previous guest) was stained (black stains and an orange/pink stain). The room did not smell pleasant. My husband went to the front desk and received a clean mattress cover. We really needed the mattress cover the fully encases the mattress not the one that is a mattress cover/pad. There was no Internet service in this first room. There is not enough parking for all the guests. Unfortunately, we checked in later at night and did not see the hand towel or bathroom mold immediately. The next morning, all of us awoke stuffy and congested. As we got going, we discovered the hand towel and bathroom mold. My husband went to the front desk again and we were given another room. The second room needed basic updates and a deep cleaning but it did not smell of moldy and musty. The room was near an exterior stairway which was convenient. We could access the Internet service better in this room. In the middle of the night, the trash trucks and delivery trucks were extremely loud. We were woken up several times. At one point, we thought someone's vehicle was being towed because of the noise and reverse "beep" of the truck. Trash litters the property all around. It is surprising that no manager has asked any employee to clean it up. A long handled broom and dust pan would be sufficient for this task and it would make the property look neater. The breakfast is very simple consisting of packaged pastries, waffles or pancakes (w/a zipper top sandwich bag), individual cups of fruit, bagels and small cartons of milk. The (Folgers) coffee and juice machines had a variety of options. I did not take pictures of the pool area and I should have. It looked like work was started to update or renovate the pool but no one was working in the area during our stay. After checking out, we went to the drink machine (for my husband to get a drink for the road) and the top cover of the ice maker fell off! None of us were near it. There was no warning or shaking of the machine to indicate the metal cover was not attached. We are very thankful no one was injured when the cover fell. As others have commented, the employees are kind and hard working. Wyndham corporate needs to visit this location and require it be renovated or shut down. The health department needs to do frequent inspections and require...

I checked in Friday afternoon and did not have the best check in experience. I did want to wait until the end of my trip to leave a fair review. We got there and first of all the property itself is very rundown, not what I was expecting based on what I saw online. As far as the check in experience, we arrived around 2PM. Check in was not until 4PM so understandable, but we just wanted to let them know we were there get settled with the parking pass etc. So after that, we tried to kill some time until 4PM. They said they would call us when the room was ready. They call and we get back, as soon as we do, the lady in the front desk said " you're back!?" as if she thought we had already gotten our room and there was something wrong with it (bad sign). Not the biggest deal, it's a busy place she probably has a lot to do everybody can have a ditzy moment, but that did throw me off. Following that she says the room was not ready yet even though we had just gotten a call saying it was?? So we wait for an extra hour or hour and a half or so in the lobby as I am watching everybody checking in getting their cards and going to their rooms. At this point I was contemplating getting another hotel but I wanted to see the room first. We get in the room and it's a nice large room ,king size bed with a jacuzzi but it looked like a landlord special over there. The outlet next to the bed looked like a hack job, was coming off the wall and looked honestly dangerous. The jacuzzi faucet, bath tub surrounding and bath tub faucet were completely loose. Bottom door to the bathroom had some damage that wasn't taken care of. Big drywall patch that wasn't painted over. The bathroom fan didn't work and the tub curtain was so short water just leaked everywhere. The grout around the base of the toilet was disgusting. The room was also very dark and we were unable to open the blinds since it was on the 1st floor, facing the parking lot directly and you could see everything in there, they should invest on a window tint for privacy. The pool looked so cloudy and not cleaned. You should be able to see the bottom of a pool and you could not so suspicious waters 😅. Now, the price was good so you get what you paid for. Still, was expecting a lot better. But at the end of the day, it served us well for what we needed for the time we were here. So wasn't the worst but could have been a lot better. So 3 stars should be fair.
