The Sock Shop — Local services in Gatlinburg

Came to Gatlinburg for another great vacation to enjoy family activities and shopping. As we walked around the Village we came upon the sock shop our 8yrs son couldn’t wait to go in. As we browsed around I ask the young girl behind the counter if they carried a particular gaming characters. It was obvious this young lady didn’t want to be bothered she acting as if she hated her job and it was against rules to ask for help finding something. All the girl said there over there just nodding. Well there’s almost a million socks in that store (not quite that many) but you get the picture. As we browsed never finding what my son wanted I watched and observed her expressions and body language of this young girl. I couldn’t help but wonder does the owner know she displays that type language? I chose not to spend my money there so we left to find what my son wanted. Hopefully whoever owns this beautiful shop will see this and tell their employees optics and assistance is paramount on running a small family business really like that...

Whether you’re looking for cozy, fuzzy socks to keep warm in the mountains, funny novelty socks that make a great gift, or high-quality athletic and dress socks, they truly have something for everyone.

What I loved most was how well-organized everything was. Even with such a large variety, it’s easy to browse by style or theme. I found a few pairs with clever sayings that made me laugh out loud, and also some stylish, comfortable socks that I’ve already worn several times since my trip. As a sock enthusiast, stepping into this place felt like entering a dream! The selection of sock heights here is absolutely incredible—ankle socks, crew socks, knee socks — you name it, they have it. I think I got so distracted admiring all the options that I lost track of time and ended up wandering the aisles for 30+ minutes in pure sock bliss.

The variety here is unmatched, and I was thrilled to find some unique styles that I’d not seen anywhere else. Whether you're after clever saying socks or funky patterned ones, this is the place to visit. When I eventually emerged from my sock-induced haze, the staff was also extremely friendly!
