I just experienced a very rude cashier yesterday. I used the contactless option to pay and apparently it didnât work after I tried 2x. I asked her if it didnât work but she was preoccupied looking at the other cashiers and she didnât respond. I looked at the screen and it said, âprocessing paymentâ. She irritatingly kept pointing for me to do it again on the contactless reader. I said, I did! Iâm not stupid! And I said the screen says, âitâs processing payment!â Why should I scan again? I was afraid it will charge me twice. I thinks itâs a language barrier too that she did not understand what I kept telling her. But it was her rude demeanor that got to me. I do not tolerate rudeness especially to customers. I was tempted to complain to customer service but didnât. I donât t want her getting in trouble and I understand sheâs just making a living as I am an immigrant myself. Honestly, I noticed most of the cashiers there are always taking to each other in Spanish while checking out a customer. They need to focus on their customers and be polite and helpful no matter what! I hope New Grand management will train cashiers to better serve their customers or I will take my business somewhere else. There are lots of Asian or International markets in Montgomery County. I left the store and before I grabbed my receipt, I utttered âRUDEâ...
Read moreI have been looking forward to the opening of this store. I was sad to see Lotte go as I shopped there frequently. However, I will never step foot in this store again. Sad, because I was looking forward to the food vendors and had hopes that the fresh sushi would be back. My experience with management convinced me otherwise. I do not enjoy getting a bad item from a store, but I know it happens - no big deal. But here - it was the response to me as a customer and the total lack of ownership or even a simple apology. The item was molded. I purchased it (a bun called bulla) on 7/3 and opened it and broke off a little piece to let my daughter try it on 7/4. When she went back to get another piece, she saw mold on the one beneath. I took it back on 7/5 and was made to feel as if I stole the bread! I did not have a receipt because I spent about $48, but pulled up the transaction and showed them. I will say they tried every way possible not to make the situation right. This was a $5 item and by far one of the least expensive things that I purchased. I had actually just stopped by to see the new store and picked up a few things while I was there. Based on the way that I was treated, I would never go back. A little customer service and kindness goes a long way. Unfortunately, I found none of that at...
Read moreUsed to be my favorite international supermarket, I come here almost every week to buy groceries. However, now that I had a baby, it is so inconvenient to come here because I canât get my babyâs stroller inside because of the metal barriers they have for the grocery carts. It is also incovenient to shop alone with a cart because once you finish shopping, you canât take the cart outside the store to the parking lot and have to carry all the bags to the parking lot yourself because you canât pull up your car by the store exit when you donât have someone with you. I mean it is possible but you have to leave your cart with all your groceries in it, to come to your car, which is incovenient compared to other grocery stores. I am saying this because whenever I come here, I always have multiple bags after checkout plus the free bottled water they have if your total is over a $100. Imagine carrying a heavy bundle of bottled water to the parking lot because you canât take the cart there? I wish they would get rid of the metal barriers because I truly...
