Pho is decent, but Pork Chop is really good.
Overall, food is satisfactory.
However, BE WARNED HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!
The Hispanic female cashier/server that took our order via phone was highly unprofessional and rude when I went to pick up the food and told her she got the order wrong. She even repeated what we ordered on the phone, yet when I got there to pick it up, one of the order was the wrong item.
Instead of offering to replace it with the correct order, she snapped with an attitude and said "well if you want your item you have to wait additional 10 minutes" in a disgruntle manner without any apology or professionalism.
When I addressed to the manager how she had no regard for proper customer service, all he said was "I'm sorry" and that was it.
I've been in the retail industry myself, including food industry as a waiter (including Pizza Hut, Red Lobsters, Champps, Clyde's, Hilton Hotel, Restaurant in Rockefeller, NYC) for over 8 years and never have I treated any customer with disrespect and with such negative attitude.
When I told her "instead of throwing attitude in my direction to a customer, the right approach would be is to apologize and suggest on how to resolve the situation" and make sure the customer feels welcomed and encourage for a return, but instead she replied by saying "I'm not apologizing to you!" and just walked away while giggling to her co-worker.
This experience was enough to never go back, and support their business ever again, and I am writing this review to warn other customers to be aware of how they treat their...
Read moreNot terrible, but not the best either. Soup is good, but the portions are not generous. Better than pho 81 on frederick ave with the snotty kids working there who charge for 1 extra basil stem with a couple leaves on it and about a dozen water sprouts, but also not as good as the Pho on Shady Grove in Gaithersburg, by far the most generous I found in the area with a super owner ho goes out of his way to make sure you're satisfied. So, between three, pho house here gets the #2 slot but very close to tie for #3 because of the skimpy portion sizes and need to find a 2nd to put in place. You will leave pho house hungry if you only order a large bowl of soup.
Did indeed go back there today (11Sept2017), and it was much better than last time. Did not leave there hungry after feeding face with just a large bowl of #15 this time. Staff was very attentive and works hard, with no bad attitude. Of course I left a generous tip, was deserved. Thank you, Sir/Ma'am.
Went again today 20Sept2017, unfortunately, was like the first time, skimpy on the noodles and meat. Am thinking someone is putting different amounts in the bowls, last visit I had satisfactory portion, this time, like the first,...
Read morePho House in Germantown is an absolute gem and truly delivers authentic Vietnamese flavors! As a Vietnamese American, I’m always on the lookout for places that remind me of home, and Pho House passes the authenticity test with flying colors. Their pho is incredibly flavorful, with a rich, aromatic broth that feels like it’s been simmering for hours, just like how my grandma used to make it. The beef is tender, the noodles are perfect, and all the herbs and garnishes come together to create a bowl of comfort and nostalgia.
The grilled pork chops are another standout—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection. They capture the balance of sweet and savory that’s a hallmark of great Vietnamese food. And don’t get me started on the appetizers! The summer rolls are fresh, light, and packed with shrimp and herbs, while the crispy spring rolls are extra crispy and addicting.
If you’re looking for real, authentic Vietnamese food in the area, Pho House is where you need to go. Everything tastes like it was made with love and respect for the traditional recipes....
