I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Indian restaurant in my city, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the friendly staff.
The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. The space was tastefully decorated with traditional Indian elements, creating an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. Soft, soothing music played in the background, further enhancing the dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of Indian cuisines and flavors. I decided to go for the classic butter chicken, accompanied by some garlic naan and saffron rice. And let me tell you, it was mind-blowing.
The butter chicken had the perfect balance of flavors - rich, creamy, and packed with aromatic spices. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, practically melting in my mouth. The naan was soft, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic, while the saffron rice was fluffy and fragrant. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, leaving me craving for more.
But what truly set this restaurant apart was the exemplary service provided by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had an unforgettable dining experience. The waitstaff was prompt in taking orders and refilling drinks, catering to our needs with a smile.
Overall, I cannot praise this Indian restaurant enough. Everything, from the food to the service, exceeded my expectations. If you are a fan of Indian cuisine or simply looking to try something new, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Trust me, the food and the workers here are truly out...
Read moreCurry Place and its manager accepted the Groupon offer I presented them without pointing out that it was for another location (10-15 minutes away, in Gaithersburg), allowing me to order, then presented me with a bill for the whole amount. Had they simply told me I was at the wrong location (Gaithersburg and Germantown are virtually conjoined towns), I would have left and gone 10 minutes down the road. When I mentioned this to the restaurant staff, they were rude. When the manager called me, first one one phone, then on another, he was rude, interrupting, accusing, asking me what my problem was, talking over me. The restaurant staff excused their mistake by saying the server was new. OK, then accept responsibility. I have reported him to Groupon, and Groupon has referred this to their consumer division. I will now have the credit card company void my payment to this business. GROUPON customers beware. All others, beware that when a low caliber manager dishonors himself with rudeness, excuses his restaurant's either ineptitude or cheating, he will not long survive. There are MANY other choices. To top it off, the food was uninteresting except to those who don't know much about Indian cooking, rice was dry. 20 by 12 foot space that EVERY time the door opened, a blast of icy air invaded the space. One person wore a coat; that's a bit much. Go elsewhere, this place is not worth it on...
Read moreWe have been going to Curry Place in Germantown for some time now. We have done carry out many times in the past. Tonight we went in there for dinner after probably two years.
We usually order there Indo-Chinese dishes, mostly Hakka Noodles, lollipop chicken, or Chicken 65 - we love those dishes. Tonight we ordered more traditional Indian dishes - mixed grill platter, and goat curry. The mixed grill is served with rice, and we also ordered garlic naan.
The goat curry was excellent. It had the right amount of spices, and cooked medium hot, just like we ordered. The naan was okay, nothing special. The mixed grill is where we had the heartburn (no pun intended). It was bland, dry, and definitely not worth the $15 we paid for it. Chicken Tikka was tasteless, and two other types of chicken kababs were so bland, I couldn't distinguish between the two. The lamb kabobs were extremely dry.
Service was decent, as always. The servers are nice, and attentive. The restaurant felt a little dirty, it seemed like they used to keep it cleaner before.
I will most likely go back for their Indo-Chinese dishes, as they are the only place nearby that serves them (that I am aware of), but I would be staying away from their grilled...
