Germantown Commons — Local services in Germantown

From restaurants, shoes, auto parts & video game stores. This shopping center does have a lot to offer customers in what they might need who lives in the area. A huge remodel was done offering new shops & an appealing look to blend in with the Montgomery County standard but not much is there to make it your " go to " shopping center for things that you wouldn't find almost anywhere else in the area. I've lived to see the change so don't get me wrong, It's done a lot to change the vibe & comfortability level but this center has had it's share of hard times trying to breath life back into it & although what's there has prolonged it's closing but it seems to still be missing something along with all the shopping centers...

I'll start with the pros: love love the veteran cashiers. Very sweet old ladies. Customer service is A plus! Sale items plus a coupon makes a sweet deal and depending on the coupon they will double it. The store is clean and have ample stock.

Cons: dairy is very expensive. Milk is almost $4!!! Meat is expensive. Shopping here, either you have a fat wallet or your a savvy shopper like me. In this economy where every penny matters to me in my book. You have to do some price comping. Giant is expensive but watch the Ads for good sales. Found Picca Polka A La Brasa! Awesome, food! This is the second time we've eaten there, and the food is so flavorful! If your in the mood to try something slightly different! Then this is for you! They look like a family owned and operated restaurant! They have very healthy portions of all their dishes! The first trip was the 3 meat combo! Chicken, slim steak, and lamb! Along with two sides! And couldn't even finish it! Actually carried the rest to work and it was still good! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! They have their own dipping sauce's from a mild to recreate hot!
