I was waiting to meet my wife on the corner of Brand and Wilson I saw the store and I thought it is a good chance to go inside and see if I can find a gold chain to buy; which I have been trying to find for a while. I had no idea that there are many jewelry vendors who have there own little booths. As soon as I walked in, the first vendor on the immediate left who was very aggressive asked me if she can help me. I said yes, I am looking for a heavy 18Karot gold chain. She brought out a bundle of tiny chains in 14Karot and kept on pushing me to buy. Very politely again I told her these chains are not what I am interested in. I kept on repeating myself over and over. Mam, I am looking for an 18karat heavy/thick chain. She got mad at me for not choosing the ones she presented to me and very rudely told me "Thank you, goodbye".I walked out very upset, I did not know that she was only one of the many vendors there, so I walked out. I met my wife outside the store and while walking home, I told my wife about the experience I had with the nasty lady in the Jewelry store. She had shopped there before and explained to me how that store is set up; with many independent jewelry vendors. I assumed the lady who was trying to sell me the puny chains was the store owner when she showed me that kind of aggressive behavior. I will go back there to shop from other vendors there, never even look at that first booth immediately on the left from the entrance. I wish I had a picture of that lady to post for you so you do not experience what I experienced yesterday. She is an old aggressive lady,...
Read moreI received excellent service twice from Armenuhi & Toros @ their stall @ Glendale’s Jewelry Mart. They finish other’s sentences. I ran in this rainy Saturday to buy a nice heavy 14K gold chain for a new medallion, a porcelain & 14K Virgin de Guadalupe—I bought from Zale’s, of all places!—on line. Toros Jewelry has everything gold you might want: rings, necklaces. My price was way below what other vendors ask for a 31.5 inch 4mm not plated not filled but real gold product. I made an exchange @ Toros. Armenuhi could not have been more welcoming. Of course, this girl reporter has a right to change her mind. You must request an invoice, including gram weight, length, width, type of gold. Toros total price, because I wanted longer fígaro style chain, was ultimately more money, which I paid. I checked on line. I still paid only a fraction of other vendors offers. Yay! Go chat with Gevork, or George, in the back of the Mart, if you’d need repairs, resizing, like that. One stop shopping without having to go DTLA. There’s about a dozen stalls, if Toros doesn’t quite have what you’re seeking. Be brave. Be persistent. Know when your game’s up. Be...
Read moreBuyers beware. Came here and bought a custom wedding band. When we picked it up there were chips and a mark on the outside of the band. Seller said they would have a new band made. Only 3 days later they called to tell us the “new” ring was ready. When we got there I noticed the same mark on the outside and the seller kept saying “I don’t see anything it’s just the light” until I insisted and had her feel the spot. They gave us a refund because it was clear it was the same messed up ring just patched. I don’t appreciate being lied to and it makes me question the quality of the jewelry. We almost got scammed I want to make...
